📽️Still a great concept that should be in every spread section of the playbook. 3 (trips bunch) x1 open packaging inside zone read with the perimeter bubble. If you got dudes on the perimeter who like to block as much as catch it's a must have. Get speed in space.

Arizona State Head Coach Kenny Dillingham
- Coach Dillingham describes their QB teaching progression for 6 man surface C-Gap RPOs during his time at Oregon
Scheming up and practicing a punt return at the high school level is a gigantic waste of time.
Most hs punters aren't going to kick it far enough for your return to get set up.
Just put the kid with the best hands on the team back there and make sure he doesn't let it roll.
@jimshapiro Nate Woody has a lot of good resources all over the internet about how he plays C3 from his 3-4 when he sends his field OLB. Could easily send either OLB and play C3 though. I think he’s at Cincinnati now.
Louie Simmons on Conditioning for Football Players…
“Football is a knock you out, back up, knock you out, back up sport. When you run gassers, you turn explosive athletes into endurance athletes.”
You must train the correct energy systems for success in Sport!🙌🏻
We’ve been sold this myth our entire lives.
When a star athlete is asked how they reached the mountaintop, the answer is always, “I outworked my competition.”
When a championship coach is asked how his team got there, the answer is always, “We outworked our competition.” Sometimes the coach brags about the culture HE CREATED… in spite of the fact that winning is the quickest, simplest way to create a winning culture.
The answer to losing is always more hard work.
If you lose, you lacked the discipline, grit, and character required to win. You weren’t willing to do the work required.
The Feed the Cats take…
Traits of elite athletes ⤵️
1) Typically have elite genetics
2) Avoid injuries
3) Recover well (sleep, nutrition)
4) Successfully improve athleticism (speed, strength, jump, bounce, throw)
5) Successfully improve sport-specific skills and movements.
6) Don’t subscribe to “the undisciplined pursuit of more”
7) Have a joyful mission-mindset
Traits of great teams ⤵️
1) Accumulate talent through the draft, NIL, recruitment, attraction, tradition, and/or luck. 💥
2) Stay healthy; injury-free
3) Improve the athleticism of their already superior athletes ⚡️⚡️⚡️
4) Display an energetic and joyful approach to hard work.
5) Practice and train at a performance level.
6) Culture by intent, not default. Not just the product of winning.
It’s intellectually lazy to boil it down to cliches. ⤵️
Closest thing to a realistic tackle drill I’ve seen. Most drills have you gather right on top of the runner, so you’re slowing down at the exact moment he’s speeding up. The short stride is there to set your angle, and the runner makes his cut 4 to 6 yards out. Win it there, not at contact.
B-Gap Hinge Progression (Tackles) 🏈
✅Coaching Points:
🔘Step over towel, eliminate false steps
🔘Protect “B” gap 1st 💂🏾♀️🅱️
🔘Eyes up 👀⬆️
🔘STRAIN to keep BSDL in “C” gap
🔘Make gap hinge blocks PERSONAL‼️
Incorporate some midline schemes into your offense. Having a little option component can really improve your run game!
Coastal used to run midline with an arc of the offensive tackle to widen the dive key with a gap run scheme.
Coastal, Ferris, Navy , Army all run some variations of option with other gap scheme components!
Lead with the tackle arcing vs an odd/tight front has merit

Repetition isn’t the goal.
Adaptation is.
@MovementMiyagi explains why great training isn’t about perfect reps, it’s about solving what’s in front of you.
No two reps are the same
Train the process, not just the technique
Adjust to the “what is”
That’s how skill transfers to the game.

Same foot, same shoulder power.
Near arm, near leg, near shoulder - drive vertical.
Turn the defender’s shoulders - win the block.
Stay in a powerful position.
Vertical movement creates the lane.
