Given how the Presbyterian church has treated its own pastors — @ZacharyGarris @RickApplet0n and @ket38111 — why would conservative Presbyterians push for a Christian Nationalism with a civil magistrate promoting Christianty as the true religion. Those three would fair better under the secular magistrate than under one transplanted from the Presbyterian church. Likewise the US justice system would provide due process better than the those ecclesial courts. I can’t get my head around this CN movement.

I dunno. I agree with your death spiral conclusion. But this seems like a censorship and public square issue. Why not broadcast the President — even with the expectation it will be self serving nonsense — and let the public decide whether to watch and what weight to assign what he says? We don’t want networks going down the path social media platforms did in his first term. And it’s not like the networks will similarly opt to not cover the future Democrat President, no matter the absurdity of his or her intent or message.
