At Goldsmiths InfantLab we study children’s cognitive development, with a focus on how infants and children learn to perceive and act on the world around them
The study was a replication and extension of Cacchione et al 2011. They discovered that babies prefer Picasso to Monet. We decided to double check this and use a neural net style transfer to create a Monet-style Picassos and Picasso style Monets.

It's my last day at @GoldsmithsUoL 😔
Very pleased it included two babies visiting the @InfantLab to take part in an MSc project about baby art appreciation. 😍
Thanks to Nell it being such a cheerful little infant scientist. Thanks to Nazli for being a great research student

We're back!
Melissa and baby Aster (8m) were the first visitors to @GoldsmithsUoL InfantLab since the pandemic.
They took part in @zelish_k's new study of infant responses to music. Aster was asleep when she arrived but soon warmed up. She really liked her new t-shirt.
Did you know that we have babies to thank for our big brains and our long lives? They helped in the birth of art and science and they know the most important secrets of happiness.
This short video explains it all.

Had a fanastic conversation about Baby Psychology with Dr Nick Fortino for his "Psychology Is" podcast. It was great to be able to talk at length and in depth about the serious science of laughing babies. Nick is a great interviewer.

@AnneEUrai@NotionHQ@evernote So annoying that @NotionHQ don't fix/improve their Evernote import functionality. Anything complex fails and fails silently so you've no idea why. And it's got no sense to let you skip things it doesn't like.
@HeedLab@notion@NotionHQ I've been using @NotionHQ for a year. It's been transformative, becoming a second brain. All my lists, notes, things I've read (not papers) are in there. It even prompted me to start a journal. They're constantly improving it too.
