I don't see how it is. I had to compete with Chinese nationals in admissions, now Chinese students may need to compete with American students in some capacity. The point is that to a perspective student, this is a legitimate point to contend with. Considering that Chinese tuition is significantly lower than American tuition, it could be the case in the near future that a Chinese education is just an all around better deal than an American one, and in that environment, an argument for why the Chinese brainwashing is worse could influence a prospective student.
