Across the country, thousands of truck drivers park their vehicles on highways in a shockingly careless manner. Every night hundreds of vehicles hit such dangerously parked vehicles.

In 2023 alone, 5,636 people died in India in crashes involving parked vehicles.

Next time you see a truck dangerously parked or stranded on a highway, please don’t simply drive past. Call 1033 or 112 and ask them to get it removed. That one call may save lives.

A 14 km stretch from Dabaspet to Tumkur remains descoped, poorly maintained with unmarked lanes and no widening work in progress yet!

I filed an RTI application with NHAI to know the status of Tumkur-Nelamangala road widening and Hubballi Dharwad bypass widening.
NHAI informed that the deadline for Tumkur-Nelamangala road upgradation is 31.03.2027.

NHAI said that there is no information available about Hubballi Dharwad bypass widening in their Tumkur office. I might need to file a separate RTI application to know the status of Hubballi Dharwad bypass widening so that it will be transferred to the Dharwad office.

Let's see if the Tumkur-Nelamangala stretch road upgrade will be completed by 31 Match 2027.
