@pushp_g@caleb_friesen Imported: Compute, communication systems, and sensors(IMU, camera, LIDAR)- IMU we are soon going indigenous.
Indigenous: Hardware structure, actuator(gears, motor, casing, driver), power system(battery pack, power distribution)
This ARTPark, IISc-incubated startup's quadrupled can carry the weight of an adult male.
Unreal progress from an Indian company founded in 2024.
Note: @strider_robots is a spin-off from the Stochastic Robotics Lab (StochLab) at the Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems at IISc.
This startup has built their own robot dog with a team of just 15 people.
They even built the actuators that went inside this dog.
All 12 of them.
And they did all of this from India.
While their dog can carry up to 20 kg of payload, they've successfully tested it with 40 kg of payload.
And they've already managed to build their dog with 80% of the parts sourced locally.
🚨 Bengaluru-based Strider Robotics (@strider_robots) is building autonomous quadrupedal robots that will be used for industrial inspection.
Their latest prototype, M3, carries 20 kg of payload and is built in-house with 80% indigenously sourced materials.
@rex09883@RuntimeBRT@strider_robots Fun fact: They make their own actuators.
This is the image of the actuator that's inside M3 and there are 12 of them in there.
Configured with a 40 kg payload, our #quadruped#robot demonstrates stable sit-to-stand recovery, controlled locomotion, and mobility under load.
Every test brings us closer to reliable #autonomous robots for real-world applications.

Built for real world environments.
Built for Reliability. Heavy duty. Stability.
