@OrionTheDragon2@nogprootagain@found_it_funny It's highly recommended if you want to play gtnh. Curseforge sucks because they don't allow custom mods that aren't in their own mod database. Since grnh uses a LOT of custom variants of mods, it needs to download them on the first launch, which is extremely inconsistent
@OrionTheDragon2@found_it_funny Gregtech is highly optimised actually. Run it via prism on java 25 and it should run like a charm, even on potato PCs. You should perhaps look into hosting a small server if you get deeper into the progression, though. Endgame tends to be quite CPU intensive again then.
@neonemeshnik@Tim0nline@found_it_funny It's a kitchen sink modpack without feeling like one. Elitism exists in every community, but not in gtnh a lot I feel like, but then again I only interact with a select few individuals in the community.
@neonemeshnik@Tim0nline@found_it_funny Definitely true. I had the torturous experience of needing to do botania to progress further in gtnh (dragonblood automation and stuff)
It's a hassle, but I think it's ultimately what makes the pack so charming. Everything has some kind of foot in progression.
@Tim0nline@found_it_funny It's definitely not for everyone, but straight out disregarding it due to 'its too grindy' is bad faith imo. It's Minecraft after all. Set your own goal, one does not have to complete the pack, there is SO much to do
