The horrific video of women being paraded naked and sexually assaulted in Manipur some months ago is one more confirmation of how unspeakably shocking the ongoing tragedy in that state is (and has been for nearly three months). Parliament must debate the situation today & the government’s handling of it. The Prime Minister’s silence is utterly incomprehensible. If there was ever an occasion for an anguished appeal from the prime ministerial “bully pulpit” calling for peace & harmony in our country, Manipur has provided it. Why is the most eloquent orator in our country bafflingly silent?

What's happening in #Manipur does not reflect the culture of #Bharat, #India or #Hindustan.

The leadership of #BJP CMs in India is a failure. The problem is with the culture of #RSS and #BJP. That is where #INDIA needs to find a solution.

Look at the picture below. The #BJP dominated #Meiteis men captured a #Kukki girl, stripped her off, play with her private parts and "proudly" take a video of this "bravery".

This is not a time to remain silent any longer. Let us unite and raise our voices against the violence in Manipur targeting the Zomi-Kuki tribes.

Recently, a distressing video surfaced on social media, showing Radical Meitei individuals parading Zomi-Kuki sisters naked in broad daylight. It is deeply disturbing to witness their helplessness while being surrounded by over 20 individuals who behaved in an inhumane manner, touching them inappropriately.

Such traumatic incidents are beyond comprehension. How can anyone call themselves human beings after committing such atrocities? If we put ourselves in their shoes and imagine our own sisters in that situation, the pain is unimaginable.

We can no longer coexist with these radical and inhumane Meitei individuals. Our demand for separate administration from Manipur is stronger than ever. Let us stand together and demand justice and peace for the Zomi-Kuki community. #JusticeForZomiKuki #Presidentsrule #PresidentRule_Manipur
