The talent problem in Nigeria is huge and deeply rooted in culture. I’ve spent half of my career trying to solve it with Jobberman.
The only employers that cracked it were the banks - they set up their own academies which ran like mini-MBAs.
But japa came and tested that foundation. It cracked. The few that had been trained well moved to better salaries globally that local employers couldn’t match.
We need to rebuild this foundation again and this time around scale it 100x. Only way to compete with global poaching of our few good talent is to create a massive supply of talent and find a way to up-skilling them to be mid-level even if they haven’t worked before.
You might be wondering, how can one have mid-level skills, if they haven’t even gotten a junior role?
I did. I was doing financial models in Year 4, building websites for Alder Consulting and banks. @Jobbermandotcom and @GO54_hq didn’t just happen overnight.
But you can’t create an army that way. The way to replicate that is work-specific academies that are super specific on defining learning outcomes and embrace learning methods that enhance human agency and thinking clarity.
That’s what @AltSchoolAfrica is and probably need 1000 more of such in different sectors.
So when some Nigerians dunk on @AltSchoolAfrica for being too hard, I laugh. We love degrees without the grit and yet want stellar job outcomes.
Employers no longer want to justify the cost of academies - since the staff get poached or japa as soon as they learn the skills.
AI is worsening everything - more moderately - highly paid people will lose jobs asides from civil service 😁
And for those who were looking for jobs, AI is already doing a lot for employers so they don’t need that many people any more , except you are an AI-native.
We need @AltSchoolAfrica and more of them to succeed. I doubt there is any “efficient” Altschooler that is jobless or idle. If there are, DM @hackSultan to fix that.
@MastercardFdn , GIZ et al with @Jobbermandotcom, @AltSchoolAfrica have done a lot in the junior talent level, but more needs to be done to tackle the joblessness decade that’s about to set on us.
The new employment requires more
- mid level management and technical skills
- massive industrialization on the part of government
I know we will make it, I just don’t know how fast or when.
“Your early customers are teachers, not just buyers. They provide insights that no product roadmap or strategy document can replicate. By delegating sales too soon, you lose the direct feedback loop that shapes your business.
Don't hire a salesperson for your early-stage business too soon. As a founder, you are actually the best salesperson for the job right now.”

As a designer, I use illustrations in my work a lot, and I know how long it takes to create them. The challenge with creating illustrations with AI is generating ones that are consistent in styling. I need it, so I built one.
I did not just build this for me but for everyone who designs. You can create illustrations in a consistent style and download them as SVG to even customize further.
Coming soon.
I gave Claude one prompt.
It built me a full app architecture. For every single screen.
Sitemap. User flows. Microcopy. Error states. Empty states.
UX designers, save and repost this to help any UX Designer struggling to understand how to design a full product end to end. 👇
Don’t miss to hit the follow button if you want to get more insight on how to 10x your workflow.
The prompt 👇
You are a Senior UX Designer and Information Architect with 10+ years of
experience designing complex digital products. I need you to generate a
complete UX architecture document for my product.

PRODUCT CONTEXT
- Product name: [NAME]
- Product type: [Web app / Mobile app / Both]
- Industry: [e.g. Fintech / Health / E-commerce / SaaS]
- Target users: [Describe your primary user, who they are, their goals,
tech comfort level]
- Core problem it solves: [1–2 sentences]
- Key user actions (the 3–5 things users must be able to do): [List them]
- Any known competitors or inspiration: [Optional]
---
WHAT I NEED YOU TO GENERATE
1. INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE (IA)
- Full sitemap of every screen/page in the app
- Grouped by section (e.g. Onboarding, Dashboard, Settings)
- Hierarchy shown clearly (parent → child pages)
- Navigation structure (bottom nav / sidebar / top nav, recommend which
and why)
2. USER FLOWS
Generate step-by-step user flows for these core journeys:
- Onboarding & account creation
- Core action flow (the main thing the user comes to do)
- Settings & profile management
- Error recovery flow
For each flow: show every screen the user touches, the decision points,
and what happens on each path (success, error, edge case).
3. FULL SCREEN-BY-SCREEN BREAKDOWN
For EVERY screen in the app, provide:
- Screen name
- Purpose (what the user is trying to do here)
- Key UI elements on the screen
- Primary action (main CTA)
- Secondary actions
- Navigation options available
4. MICROCOPY FOR EVERY SCREEN
For each screen, write the actual copy for:
- Page/screen title
- Subheading or supporting text
- CTA button labels
- Input field placeholder text and labels
- Tooltip or helper text (where relevant)
5. ERROR STATES
For every screen or action that can fail, write:
- The error scenario (what went wrong)
- Error message headline (short, clear)
- Error body copy (explain what happened + what to do)
- CTA label to recover (e.g. "Try Again", "Go Back", "Contact Support")
Cover at minimum: form validation errors, network/connection errors,
permission denied, session expired, payment failure (if applicable).
6. EMPTY STATES
For every screen that can appear empty (no data yet), write:
- Empty state illustration description (what to show visually)
- Headline
- Supporting copy
- CTA to help user take their first action
Cover: first-time user empty states AND zero-result search/filter states.
7. LOADING & TRANSITION STATES
For key screens, describe:
- What loading state looks like (skeleton screen, spinner, etc.)
- Loading copy if any (e.g. "Getting your dashboard ready…")
- Transition message after a completed action
(e.g. success toast, confirmation screen)
8. STRUCTURAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the product type and user goals:
- Recommend the best navigation pattern and why
- Flag any screens that might cause confusion or drop-off
- Suggest any flows that could be simplified or merged
- Identify where progressive disclosure should be applied
- Call out any accessibility considerations per screen

OUTPUT FORMAT
Structure your response like a UX specification document with clear
headings for each section. Use tables where it helps clarity
(especially for microcopy and error states). Be exhaustive, I want
this to be thorough enough to hand directly to a developer or use as
a Figma annotation reference.
Design, like most crafts, cannot be speed-run. The process is a quiet sharpening of the eye, learning to recognize good design and developing the ability to create it. That takes a tremendous amount of practice and experience (and years), unless one happens to be unusually gifted.
The reality, however, is that AI-generated design will likely improve faster than a junior designer can develop competence. With the level of determination, engineering talent, and capital being deployed by major AI companies, progress will be relentless because there is enormous incentive to realize a return on that investment.
But that shouldn’t be the point.
People should apply themselves to design not because they hope to outrun AI or outdesign it, but because they are committed to becoming better designers. Craft has its own value. The discipline of seeing, refining, and creating something well-made is worthwhile in itself.
I don't know how to explain how quickly everything gets overwhelming lately.
Days are becoming a blur, assignments, work, side projects, hackathons (to name a few)
And it's a choice.
I can choose to stay offline.
I can choose to be average.
I can choose to just be.
But I don't want that.
Somedays, it just feels like my brain gives up on me.
It's tired of thinking.
But work doesn't stop, does it?
I also don't like my output lately.
I can do better in so many ways.
So many.
I'm not creating what I want and I don't know how. (skill issue)
I took 6 days off social media and the amount of updates has been insane. (Figma, claude, open claw — wow)
Anyways, I'll be in London for a couple hackathons this weekend.
I'm re-reading Mastery by Robert Greene to remind me what it takes.
I know it's just a phase but it feels like I'm doing a terrible job maintaining my mental fortitude.
I remind myself that I'm privileged in so many ways.
So I've gotta make the most of it - don't complain, don't stay idle.
I also didn't realise how mentally tough it gets, even when I'm not new to all of this.
So much to learn man.
Am I trying to rush the process?
Anyways, writing this was a bit therapeutic. and I only wrote this because I can't code on the bus.
I should make more time to write.
Now to find time where I won't worry about work, life and this ever-evolving career.
I'll keep trying my best, I promise.
