I’ve always believed one thing, and I will not bend on it: family matters stay in the family.
In football, the locker room is sacred. The boardroom is sacred. Private conversations between a player and coach, and the club should never be played out in public. Leaking private messages, negotiating through journalists, or using the media as leverage is not leadership. It’s not professional. And it’s not nice.

Here is one undeniable fact: No one is bigger than the badge.
Players come and go. Coaches come and go. Sporting directors and OWNERS come and go.
Only the badge remains. Always.

I do not appreciate Kamil, his agents, friends & people around him negotiating in the public forum. I do not appreciate private conversations and meetings being leaked. Full stop.

Now, here are the facts, not opinions.
Kamil signed his current contract almost 2.5 years ago, at age 34, earning 160,000 PLN per month.
Today, he is much older (37), and by the end of this current contract, he will be 38.

He is asking for a new two-year deal (2.5 years total), taking him to age 40, with a major salary increase to 250,000 PLN per month, plus a 2,000,000 PLN signing bonus. That equals approximately 8,000,000 PLN over two years.
I am not doing that contract.

8 months ago, this club was hours away from losing all its players, salaries unpaid for more than two months, bonuses unpaid for over a year, heating and electricity close to being cut off, and bankruptcy was days away. I came into a club carrying over 75 million PLN in debt and potential liabilities. Last Christmas, do the fans, journalists and Kamil not remember the players’ meetings about unpaid salaries? Do they not remember players being scared, worried, and uncertain about their future? That reality is not ancient history. It happened. And I remember it clearly. I have not forgotten that history. I will not, under any circumstances, drag this club back into financial irresponsibility to satisfy pressure from journalists, agents, or emotional noise. I am NOT here to be Popular or loved. I am here to build, to win, not to gamble with the club’s future.

What did we offer instead?
We offered is current salary of 160,000 PLN per month, one guaranteed year, plus one additional year option that becomes guaranteed if Kamil plays 75% of matches (minimum 30 minutes). That’s 1.5 years guaranteed, plus another year if he stays healthy and performs. On top of that, we included significant team and individual bonuses.

This is a fair, respectful, and generous offer.

Fans love goals and assists. I understand that. But modern football demands more.
Defending matters. Pressing matters. Training standards matter. Leadership off the ball matters.
Our top scorer cannot be also our weakest defensive player. This is elite and real football, not a video game.

I will not be bullied into a bad deal by his friendly journalists or by people who want to spend my money for me. I didn’t come here to be popular. I came here to be responsible and to win.

I shouldn’t even go public or have to explain this publicly, but my hand was forced. And I have the truth on my side.

And let me end with this, because it matters:
Kamil is not just a player to this club. He is a son of Szczecin. He started here as a boy, left to conquer Europe, wore Poland’s shirt with pride, and chose to come home to lead. That choice will always be respected.

He is our captain, our standard, and a symbol of this city. We value him deeply, and this offer reflects that value, not just for today, but for the future.
We have made it clear to him that when his playing chapter ends, there will be a place for him in our senior management, because leaders like him belong inside this club.

This is not about contracts. This is about legacy, responsibility, and building something historic, the right way.
