Some uses of platforming challenges were stronger than others, and the relic system could had more weight to their effects.

Finished Castelvania: Belmont’s Curse.

So addicting! Haven’t played too many of these, but this has so much artistic style! The combat is strong and fun. The spells are OP. The level design rewards curiosity and holds many challenges. I loved the whip traversal! -

@GenePark Agreed. From a journalists perspective, it’s important to clear cause you don’t want to imply bias. But what I love is that it’s the whole film. “A character I created” confirms Holmes has never been authentic vs “They created” implies no one understands the real her. Her goal.

@jasonoliver I hardly knew anything about her other than the fraud. There were moments I felt very sympathetic. Then hearing more from Shultz and Bad Blood, so much more about what happened was missing. I agree with you that I think Holmes was betting on that when hiring A24 for the job.

Nathan and Lance made an incredible film, and if this film is all you consume to develop an opinion on Elizabeth and on the fraud committed at Theranos you are in a really really tough position.

Having read Bad Blood, consumed a lot of the initial whistleblower content, and generally following the initial implosion closely it’s hard to imagine what my takeaways would be if I only vaguely heard the Theranos story from before and all I had to go in was this incredible film.

That’s probably Elizabeth’s big bet to work with a24 and specifically with Nathan Fielder to tell this story, to shape the opinions of those who haven’t done the actual work to understand what actually happened before.

He literally says TO HER FACE that he’s read all the coverage and he think she’s guilty. Much of the earlier part of the film features him trying to wrap his head around how she can possibly think the narrative she’s cooked up is convincing!

A few readers have taken me to task for “missing the point of the film,” which is apparently that Elizabeth Holmes is unknowable and everything is ambiguous. Here’s my response: She went after Tyler Shultz and Erika Cheung with everything she had. I was threatened with litigation on a daily basis for months on end. It was a ruthless cover-up of a breathtaking fraud, and she was at the controls. Just a little context for those who have forgotten or didn’t follow the original story. By the way, I loved the film. #BestPicture, IMO.

Elizabeth Holmes is still lying, he says. And the filmmakers, while creating a great piece of art, fall short on looking outside the walls of her apartment to document that.

One key detail: "My wife had to squeeze my arm to prevent me from jumping out of my seat in the theater and screaming, THAT IS NOT THE DEVICE."

Again, that device Holmes showed? It's not the one we're talking about!!!!

Something I think Nathan captured so well & w/ the ending. The power a master manipulator may have to change even the minds of the audience watching.

Billy is gonna get obliterated online now as a skeeze and just horrible liar, but man she is hard to parse. The conclusion I think it *wants* you to draw is that if she’s acting like this with him that maybe yeah she just left everything to Sunny and more or less believed all the Theranos bs. If you’re such a sociopathic liar, how is your move now to ignore reality in such a ridiculous fashion? Unless you genuinely are that oblivious.

I don’t think anyone could be this brilliantly manipulative. But that is the reaction a brilliant manipulator would produce…

Games on consoles are always going to be a smoother experience. The limitations are actually a safe space for development. Devs don’t have to consider how their game runs on a dozen different GPUs, drivers, etc. Consoles are easier optimized. It’s no surprise GTA is console first

As a former SW, I watch this and I admit I was upset at MoistCr1tikal at first for insulting OF content creators.

But logically... he's not insulting all OF creators. He's just insulting her. FoidElf calls him gross when she's a crusty cum sock of a person. Her partner and her are being exposed as abusers, pedos, etc., and I'm not against MoistCr1tikal ripping her a new one.

The 70s stories were very fun, charming and even heart-breaking, and I've gotten to know these characters in ways I didn't know them before.
