Tbh I think we should do a tithe strike. Clearly the majority of Christians, especially evangelicals chose serving money over ‘love thy neighbor, take care of the poor and sick’. Why reward them? Use the money to help ppl directly instead of putting it in the pastors wallet.

Btw this is the perspective of someone who grew up in the church and as a literal child, I’m talking 5 years old, was worried about looking prideful when I gave about 300 pennies I saved, that I put them in a paper bag so no one could see what I was giving.
