Do you think @UKLabour and the country at large will come to regret the ousting of Starmer and with Burnham being his highly likely successor?
Please vote, comment, and retweet.

An open letter to Labour’s affiliated trade unions
To the leadership of UNISON, Unite, GMB, USDAW, the CWU, Community, the Musicians’ Union, the Fire Brigades Union, ASLEF, the TSSA and the National Union of Mineworkers:
@unisontheunion@unitetheunion@GMB_union@UsdawUnion@CWU
I am writing as a Labour supporter who is deeply concerned by the growing speculation about a possible challenge to Keir Starmer’s leadership.
Trade unions have always been at the heart of the Labour movement.
You represent millions of nurses, care workers, shop workers, firefighters, drivers, engineers, postal workers, musicians and other working people across Britain.
That gives you enormous influence—but also an enormous responsibility.
A Labour government was elected to repair a country damaged by fourteen years of Conservative rule. The NHS is under pressure. Housing remains unaffordable. Public services need rebuilding. Workers need better wages, stronger rights and greater security.
None of these problems will be solved by months of internal warfare.
A leadership contest would dominate the media, weaken the government and turn Labour’s attention away from the people it was elected to serve.
The Conservatives and Reform would not care which Labour faction won.
They would simply enjoy watching Labour fight itself.
I therefore ask you to use your influence carefully.
Do not allow the ambitions of a small number of politicians or Westminster insiders to be presented as the settled view of the Labour movement.
Do not endorse a challenger without first consulting your own members openly and honestly.
Do not allow decisions affecting the future of a Labour government to be made in private meetings between MPs, political advisers and union executives.
If a leadership contest is forced, every eligible affiliated supporter must be given clear information, sufficient time and complete freedom to make their own decision.
Union members are not voting cattle.
They are nurses working exhausting shifts.
They are care workers looking after vulnerable people.
They are firefighters, train drivers, shop workers, delivery workers and public servants.
Their voices matter more than rumours from “senior sources” or the ambitions of politicians already planning their next promotion.
Keir Starmer should be judged fairly on his record and given a reasonable opportunity to deliver the programme Labour was elected to implement.
That does not mean unions should remain silent.
You should challenge the government when it gets things wrong.
You should demand stronger workers’ rights, better pay, investment in public services and greater economic security.
But constructive pressure is different from helping to destabilise a Labour prime minister while the government is trying to repair the country.
Labour was created to give working people political representation.
It was not created to provide Westminster with another leadership drama.
Please stand for stability.
Please stand for democratic consultation.
Please stand for the interests of your members rather than the ambitions of individual politicians.
And above all, please remember what is at stake.
Britain does not need another period of political chaos.
It needs serious government, stronger public services and a Labour movement united around improving the lives of working people.
Less noise. More delivery.
Yours sincerely,
Thomas
Labour supporter
Do you think the hate Keir Starmer receives has been orchestrated by the mainstream media who are trying to bring the Prime Minister down?🤔
Repost after voting please.

James O’Brien questions how much of the disaffection with Keir Starmer has been ‘carefully cultivated’.
