@BrianFeroldi Brian, do you really believe strong U.S. equity market performance will go on forever? I like your content a lot, but I don’t think that treating U.S. equity market strength, as a constant, is very sensible. Historically, the dominance of one economy has never lasted for ever.
@StockMarketNerd Brad are you only talking U.S. equities? Pretty sure even within just equity markets that there are plenty of indices ain’t done a lot for long periods of time. If you’re just talking U.S. equities fair enough, but that too can change.
@StockMarketNerd Brad, I love your stock analysis, but if Trump keeps this up you guys could well head into a stagflation situation, which wouldn’t be great for markets; so I’m not sure it’s wise to treat this as just another buying opportunity like nothing has changed. Just my view.
@cperruna I’m 100% US in my equity exposure as it’s been the best place to invest in my lifetime. However, I’m aware that historically, no great power has held onto its economic and geopolitical strength forever, so why would it be the case this time?
@saxena_puru Betting on continued outperformance partially based on past performance does make me quite uncomfortable, but equally it’s hard to believe that the US will underperform from here when most of the principles underpinning their success remain in tact (my basic understanding). Ty
@TheLongInvest Hi @TheLongInvest - asking this to lots of prominent investors on X - what makes you confident that US equities keep going up and to the right over the next 5/10/15 years? Can it really be as easy as some portray; keep averaging into the S&P/ pick good US stocks at ok prices?
@saxena_puru Do you have sufficient confidence that this is just a blip in the never ending march up and to the right for US equities? No reservations about prolonged tariffs? Surely it can’t be as simple as the last 20 years of investing in S&P. Nothing lasts forever! Thanks!
@StockMarketNerd Brad, how do you have so much confidence that the US market can continue to post positive returns over the next 5,10,20 years? It goes without saying that what’s happened before isn’t guaranteed to continue. Genuine question. Interested for your thoughts. Not enough characters!
@jimhamilton4 1. Who does he think starts on the wing for the lions?
2. Of those he would usually be playing against (the non English), who did he enjoy playing alongside, the most, on his lions tours?
@cperruna Like many, my portfolios had a strong 18 months. Some names e.g. CRWD, NET and SE have rallied sharply and look fairly extended depending on the chart. Any tips on when to trim from a technical stand point? I try not to trim based on valuation. Thanks
