L’Armée Révolutionnaire Congolaise (ARC) a franchi une nouvelle étape dans le renforcement de ses capacités militaires à l’occasion de la cérémonie officielle marquant la fin de la formation de nouveaux éléments, organisée ce dimanche à Tshanzu. À l’issue de ce cycle intensif, 7 532 commandos ont été intégrés aux effectifs opérationnels.

Cette formation, décrite comme rigoureuse et méthodiquement structurée, s’inscrit dans une dynamique globale de consolidation des capacités militaires de l’ARC. L’objectif affiché est le rétablissement d’une autorité effective de l’État sur l’ensemble du territoire national. Le programme a accordé une place centrale à la discipline, à la coordination interunités ainsi qu’au respect strict de la chaîne de commandement, considérés comme des piliers fondamentaux d’une force armée organisée et efficace.

Dans les zones actuellement libérées et placées sous son contrôle, l’AFC/M23 affirme concentrer ses actions sur des missions à caractère strictement militaire. Celles-ci incluent notamment la sécurisation et la défense des positions stratégiques, ainsi que le contrôle des axes et des zones opérationnelles clés, dans une logique de maintien de la supériorité tactique.

Placée sous le commandement du général-major Sultani Makenga, l’ARC met en avant une organisation qu’elle présente comme structurée, disciplinée et appuyée par une solide expérience du terrain. Les responsables soulignent que la cohérence du commandement et la clarté des objectifs opérationnels constituent des facteurs déterminants dans la conduite efficace des opérations.

Au-delà de l’annonce chiffrée, cette montée en puissance soulève des enjeux majeurs pour l’avenir sécuritaire de la République démocratique du Congo et de la région. La capacité à transformer la formation et la discipline en une stabilité durable dépendra non seulement de l’organisation interne de la force, mais également de l’évolution du contexte politique, sécuritaire et humanitaire.

Dans ce contexte, la séquence de Tshanzu apparaît comme une étape stratégique dans la structuration militaire de l’ARC, dont les implications continueront d’être observées de près, tant au niveau national que régional.

The Rwandan delegation in Washington DC this week was ready to sign the Regional Economic Integration Framework (REIF), which benefits both our countries and the region. We are puzzled by the DRC's last-minute decision not to sign the agreement, given the positive atmosphere of the negotiations during which the text of the REIF was finalized, and the diligent mediation work of Senior Advisor Massad Boulos and the State Department.

On the Peace Agreement, specifically the neutralization of the DRC-backed FDLR and Rwanda lifting defensive measures accordingly, the DRC had refused to proceed until specific actions agreed this past Wednesday during the Joint Oversight Committee meeting, as outlined in the communiqué. https://t.co/ITxB82S6gx
