Катастрофу, яка знищила врожаї, позбавила людей питної води й забрала життя, завдала збитків інфраструктурі, варто розглядати саме як свідчення геноцидної війни та свідомої політики кремля, спрямованої на знищення України. Це не просто порушення звичаїв війни. Це чіткий маркер меж допустимого, і російська федерація не обмежує себе в методах, беззастережно втілюючи погрози путіна.

Добре пам’ятаємо його фразу «Ми готові показати вам, що означає для України справжня декомунізація», сказану за три дні до початку повномасштабного вторгнення, в день визнання москвою так званих «ДНР» і «ЛНР». Це не випадкові збіги, а елементи чіткої злочинної послідовності: від заяв про сумнів у легітимності нашої держави до воєнних злочинів проти України.

За таке має бути відповідальність. І наше завдання – завдання всього цивілізованого світу – подбати про найвище покарання для тих, хто ухвалював рішення та виконував накази.

Pope Leo XIV in Spain: “I come among you to affirm, encourage and instill a renewed fidelity to the Gospel among believers, as well as a deeper reconciliation and collaboration among the various elements of this nation. A new United Nations report warns that AI's immense appetite for electricity, water, and land is pushing the planet toward an unprecedented environmental crisis in the next few years.

The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence is placing an unprecedented strain on Earth's resources, prompting a direct warning from the United Nations University.

According to scientists, AI-related workloads accounted for 20% of data center electricity in 2025 and are projected to double to 40% by 2030

. By then, AI's global electricity consumption could power all of sub-Saharan Africa for over two years, generating a carbon footprint of 400 million tonnes of carbon dioxide. Furthermore, data centers are projected to consume a colossal 9.3 trillion liters of water annually for cooling by 2030—enough to satisfy the drinking water needs of the entire global population for more than a year and a half.

Beyond raw resource consumption, the UN warns of a widening digital divide and a massive pileup of up to 2.5 million tonnes of annual electronic waste by 2030. Currently, 90% of specialized AI cloud infrastructure is concentrated in just the United States and China, leaving over 150 nations with no sovereign AI capacity while they bear the brunt of mineral extraction and waste.

To counter these systemic issues, UN experts are urging governments, developers, and everyday users to embed environmental impacts into all AI decisions, emphasizing that even 'renewable-powered' data centers carry heavy environmental footprints that cannot be ignored.

El Papa León XIV entregará la Rosa de Oro a la Virgen de la Almudena

Una distinción pontificia instaurada por su antecesor, León IX, en el año 1049. La patrona de Madrid y convierte así en la cuarta advocación española que la recibe.

Las otras advocaciones distinguidas de esta manera en la que San Juan Pablo II llamó “tierra de María” han sido la Virgen de la Cabeza (2009), Nuestra Señora de Montserrat (2023) y La Virgen Macarena (2024).

La ofrenda se realizará en el acto de oración y homenaje que realizará el Papa en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Almudena el lunes 8 por la tarde, antes de encontrarse con la realidad diocesana de la provincia eclesiástica en el estadio Santiago Bernabéu.

El acto que se desarrollará en la catedral tendrá un carácter "sencillo e íntimo”, según detalló el Arzobispado de Madrid y contará con la presencia del Cardenal José Cobo, el cabildo catedralicio y las autoridades eclesiásticas.

“Para la ocasión, se ha retirado la peana que hay normalmente a los pies de la Virgen, en su camarín, y se colocará una columna nueva en la que habrá un centro de plata para que León XIV pueda depositar la Rosa de Oro”, según informó la archidiócesis.

La devoción a la Virgen de la Almudena en Madrid se remonta a tiempos de la invasión musulmana, a inicios del siglo VIII, y la Reconquista. Los cristianos ocultaron la imagen en la muralla, junto a dos velas, para protegerla.
