His wife, Rabia Sultan, was also illegally arrested & charged with terrorism few days ago, when she went to see her husband in prison.

سویڈن پولیس کی جانب سے ایک گھناؤنے فعل کی اجازت دیے جانے کے بعد سویڈن میں قرآنِ پاک کو نذرِ آتش کئے جانے جیسے (اسلام اور شعائرِاسلام کیخلاف) نہایت نفرت انگیز (اسلاموفوبک) اقدام کی شدید مذمت کرتا ہوں۔

بےجا نفرت و تعصّب پر مبنی اس حرکت کا دنیا بھر میں مسلمانوں کو گہری چوٹ پہنچانے اور انہیں غصّہ و اشتعال دلوانے کے علاوہ کوئی مقصد نہیں۔

سویڈن کی حکومت اقوام متحدہ کی جنرل اسمبلی کی قرارداد (جو ذیل میں فراہم کی گئی ہے) پر نگاہ دوڑائے اور اس امر کا احساس کرے کہ آزادئ اظہار محض دوسروں کیلئے تکلیف و آزار کا سامان کرنے کی مطلق آزادی کی ہرگز اجازت نہیں دیتا۔

آرٹیکل 9 سمیت یورپی یونین ہیومن رائٹس کنونشن پوری صراحت سے یہ واضح کرتا ہے کہ ایک فرد (شہری) کیلئے کوئی آزادی بھی کامل/مطلق (Absolute) نہیں۔

Strongly condemn the hate-filled Islamophobic crime of burning of the Holy Quran in Sweden - a loathsome act sanctioned by the Swedish police.

Such a hate-filled act serves no purpose beyond causing anger and deep hurt to Muslims across the world.

Swedish govt should recall the UNGA Resolution (see below) and also realise that freedom of speech in no way allows absolute freedom simply to cause hurt to others.

No freedom for one individual is absolute - as made clear also in the EU Human Rights Convention including in Article 9.

The mainstream media in #Pakistan are currently forbidden to tell the world what is really going on. The few that do are being thrown into jail, their families are kidnapped, threatened & harassed.

International press are doing nothing for these people. In 24hrs I have been inundated with thousands of real life events & nobody is saying a thing. It is unacceptable.

POLITICAL AUTONOMY IS NOT A CRIME.

This is bigger than them- this a fight for democracy against ruthless dictatorship & fascism.

میرے اہلِ وطن، اہلِ پاکستان کو عید مبارک!

میرے لئے یہ سب سے کربناک اور تکلیف دہ عید ہے۔ ہمارے تقریباً دس ہزار کارکنان اور سپورٹرز کو جیلوں میں بھر دیا گیا ہے جبکہ پرامن احتجاج کا اپنا آئینی حق استعمال کرنے پر ان سے مجرموں کا سا سلوک کیا جارہا ہے۔

ہمارے بہادر قائدین، جن میں ڈاکٹر یاسمین راشد اور عالیہ حمزہ وغیرہ جیسی خواتین رہنما بھی شامل ہیں، جیل میں قید اور تحریک انصاف سے علیحدگی اختیار کرنے سے مسلسل انکاری ہیں۔

ہمارے 16 کارکنان کو گولیاں مار کر شہید کیا گیا جبکہ دیگر 8 کے بارے میں بھی شبہ یہی ہے کہ انہیں بھی قتل کیا گیا تاہم اس کی تصدیق ممکن نہیں کیونکہ ان کے اعزّا و احباب پولیس کے خوف سے زیرِ زمین ہیں۔ 50 دیگر کو بھی گولیاں ماری گئیں۔

تاہم سیکورٹی اہلکاروں کیجانب سے نہتّے مظاہرین پر طاقت کے اس بے جا استعمال کا نہایت حیران کن طور پر (ریاستی و سرکاری سطح پر) ذکر تک سنائی نہیں دے رہا۔ پھر اس امر کا سراغ لگانے کیلئے کہ 9 مئی کو اصل میں ہوا کیا، کسی آزاد تحقیق کی زحمت ہی گوارا نہیں کی گئی۔

اس کے برعکس سرکاری سطح پر تحریک انصاف کیخلاف یکطرفہ پراپیگنڈے کے ذریعے ہر اس شخص کو، جس کی تحریک انصاف سے ذرا سی بھی نسبت ہے، کو محض اس یک نکاتی ہدف کے تحت کہ انتخابات سے قبل کسی بھی طرح تحریک انصاف کو کچل دیا جائے، پر جبر و دہشت کے پہاڑ توڑے گئے۔

تحریک انصاف اور (پاکستانی) قوم اس تاریک دور سے پہلے سے نہایت مضبوط ہو کر ابھریں گے، انشاءاللہ۔

اسی طرح میڈیا پر بھی کڑے پہرے بٹھائے گئے ہیں اور اس فسطائی سرکار کے ناقدین اس (ریاستی) غیض و غضب کے نشانے پر ہیں۔

عمران ریاض خان کو اغواء کیا گیا اور 40 روز سے زائد کا عرصہ بیت چکا ہے کہ کسی کو اس کی سلامتی و مقام کے بارے میں خبر نہیں۔ اس طرح ہمارے 5 معتبر صحافی جنہیں مجبوراً ملک چھوڑ کر کہیں اور پناہ لینا پڑی۔اس عید پر ہم انہیں بھی اپنی یادوں کا حصہ بنائے ہوئے ہیں۔

Eid Mubarak to my Pakistanis.

This is the most painful Eid for me.
Around 10,000 of our workers and supporters are jailed and being treated as criminals for exercising their constitutional right to protest peacefully.

Our brave leaders including women leaders, Dr Yasmin Rashid and Aliya Hamza are in jail and refusing to leave PTI.

16 of our workers shot dead and 8 others suspected to have been killed but cannot be confirmed because relatives have gone underground because of the fear of police.
50 others suffered bullet wounds.

Shockingly no mention of the use of this excessive force by security forces on unarmed protesters. And no independent investigation to ascertain what really happened on 9th May.

Instead, by peddling a one sided anti-PTI official narrative, a reign of terror has been unleashed on anyone associated with the party with only one aim to dismantle it before elections.

InshAllah PTI and the nation will come out of this dark phase much stronger.

Also, there's been a total clampdown on media with all those critical of this fascist government facing its wrath.

Imran Riaz Khan has been abducted and his whereabouts unknown for over 40 days now, and 5 of our respected journalists who have had to flee the country, we remember them too on this Eid.

فسطائیوں کے ملک پر مسلّط گروہ کو عید تک کا احساس نہیں لہٰذا کل رات انہوں نےہمارے ٹکٹ ہولڈر رانا اورنگزیب کو اس وقت گرفتار کر لیا جب وہ اپنے اہلِ خانہ سے ملنے جارہے تھے۔

جبر و دہشت کے اس راج کا بنیادی مقصد لوگوں کو ڈرا دھمکا کر تحریک انصاف سے دور کرنا ہے تاکہ دھاندلی زدہ انتخابات کے ذریعے مجرموں کے اس گروہ کو پھر سے قوم پر مسلّط کیا جاسکے۔

اس منصوبے کا مقدّر ناکامی ہے اور اسے خاک ہی میں ملنا ہے کیونکہ ہم بھیڑ بکریاں یا جانوروں کا ایک ریوڑ نہیں بلکہ (جیتے جاگتے باشعور) انسان ہیں۔

The idea behind this reign of terror is to scare people away from PTI so the assortment of criminals can again be imposed on the nation through rigged elections.

Whenever I think this fascist regime has reached new lows in violating human rights and all cultural & religious norms of our society, they shock me yet again by sinking lower.

While Shehryar Afridi has been suffering the most appalling and horrendous conditions in jail only so that he breaks and renounces PTI, his wife and children were accosted in the streets and hounded out of their house as narrated by Sher Afzal.

It is only a matter of time before the nation reacts to such unprecedented fascism and unethical tactics by those who are devoid of any sense of decency or morality only to instill fear and scare people into submission.

اقتدار (پر قابض گروہ اپنے) ان اقدامات کا ازخود جائزہ لے! شہریوں کو جبر و فسطائیت تلے کچل کر اور ان کے بنیادی حقوق غصب کرکے عمدہ حکومت ممکن ہے نہ ہی ترقی کا کوئی امکان!

Condemn the demolition of Lal Malhi’s family house in Umer Kot by the PPP government. Lal Malhi is the President of PTI’s minority wing.

The fascist tactics employed by the State to force PTI leaders & workers to dissociate from the party has not only weakened our democracy, but it is also severely damaging the social contract between a State and its citizens.

Those in power need to introspect these actions. It is impossible to effectively govern & progress by suppressing the citizens & taking away their fundamental rights.
