NYPD detective just 10 days from retirement took a bullet to the back from an 18-year-old in Brooklyn - was the suspect even a citizen?!?!
Detective Robert Carroll of the Sex Offender Monitoring Unit and fellow officers were in an unmarked car in Crown Heights early Sunday morning when an 18-year-old male approached holding a semi-automatic pistol.
The officers jumped out to confront him and a gunfight broke out. Carroll was hit in the back, but his ballistic vest stopped the round. He is expected to make a full recovery. Another officer was also injured.
Police have not released the suspect’s name. His immigration status is also unknown - we do not know if he is an illegal immigrant, a DACA recipient, or a U.S. citizen.
The suspect fled but was quickly tracked down and taken into custody after a struggle.
Our officers put their lives on the line every single day - even when they’re counting down their final shifts.
Pass this along so more people see the real dangers these men and women face to protect the rest of us.

Just after midnight on July 5, 2017, while our city and country were still celebrating the anniversary of our nation's independence, a crazed gunman approached an NYPD temporary headquarters vehicle and fatally shot Detective Miosotis Familia who was posted inside.
A loving mother of three incredible children, a caring daughter, and a dedicated police officer; Miosotis was stolen from us all by one deranged individual. We will never forget our sister, her service to our city, and the ultimate sacrifice that she made while protecting others.

According to the allegations, Kang was using his phone when he struck Stone, he did not stop, render aid, or report the crash.
WE HAVE TO STOP LETTING THESE PEOPLE GO.
“Judge Rivanda Doss Beal granted the state’s detention request, noting that Kang drives for a living and that there was no practical way for the court to limit his use of electronic devices while driving. Kang is charged with reckless homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.”

Stop leaving your babies in your vehicles.
Laws must change requiring car manufacturers to install sensors.
Approximately 40 kiddos die each year from being forgotten and essentially boiling to death in cars.
And of course that's not counting those who are saved.

“Muskogee, Oklahoma Horror: Lesbian Couple Rachel Jean Stevens and Kayla Ann Jones Brutally Torture 5-Year-Old Son with Hammer, Groin Kicks, and Duct Tape — Sentenced to Just 20 Years”
In a shocking case out of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Rachel Jean Stevens and her partner Kayla Ann Jones were sentenced to 20 years in prison for the systematic torture of Stevens’ 5-year-old biological son. The boy endured months of horrific abuse, including being beaten with a belt, struck in the hand with a hammer, kicked so hard in the groin that he bled, and having his eyes duct-taped shut while locked in a room. The abuse was so severe it caused the young child to suffer two strokes, along with malnutrition, broken bones in various stages of healing, and other traumatic injuries.
Stevens, as the mother, had no business raising children. She treated her own son as a scapegoat — blaming him for every household stress, financial problem, and relationship friction — while her other children were treated as “golden children” and spared the same nightmare. This pattern of evil is all too common when the natural family structure is abandoned.
Thankfully, the brave boy survived after extensive medical care in a local hospital. He and his siblings were removed from the home, taken into protective custody by Oklahoma authorities, and placed in loving permanent adoptive homes where they could finally heal. The court permanently barred Stevens and Jones from any contact with the victims.
This is pure evil — the kind that demands real justice. Twenty years is simply not enough for torturing an innocent child to the brink of death. In a healthy society rooted in faith, family, and traditional values, those who prey on the most vulnerable would face far harsher penalties to truly protect our children and deter monsters.
What do you think? How do we demand better accountability and put innocent kids first? #ChildAbuse #Oklahoma #Muskogee #ProtectOurKids #FamilyValues #TraditionalFamily #FaithFamilyFreedom #JusticeForChildren #EndChildAbuse #AmericaFirst
