America’s obsession with lawns is unsustainable. They are mostly non-native (european turf grasses) & require an extraordinary amount of water - around 9billion gallons per day in the US! We need to reconsider our idea of “beauty” in landscaping. Let it go #wild instead #2019EBE

Not only do the oceans hold huge amounts of #biodiversity 🦈
...they also buffer #greenhousegas effects, it is estimated that the oceans have taken up 40% of CO2 from the atmosphere since the industrial revolution...🌍🌎🌏

Asian tiger mosquitos shows recent #AdaptiveEvolution in European populations. One study compared them to original populations from Vietnam, finding #TransposableElement insertions - creating the difference in temperate and tropical populations
