Anyone actually making better use with open source harnesses and models?

My interim conclusion is that nothing beats codex and claude code, and it's better to write your own micro tools around them than use things like Hermes, OpenClaw.

Open source models are still valuable for cost-savings, privacy, censorship, but many use cases tend to not fall in this line.
