Pharaoh says: “Leave me to kill Moses, and let him call upon his Lord…”

Pharaoh feared that Musa (AS) would change people’s beliefs and weaken his power. Even though he acted confident, the verse shows he was actually threatened by the truth Musa brought. Tyrants often fear truth more than weapons.

🌙 Verse 27 - Musa seeks Allah’s protection

Musa (AS) responds by saying:

“I seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Account.”

Instead of reacting with fear, Musa turns directly to Allah for protection. The verse teaches believers to rely on Allah when facing oppression, threats, or injustice.

🌙 Verse 28 - The hidden believer

A believing man from Pharaoh’s own family secretly defended Musa:

“Will you kill a man just because he says, ‘My Lord is Allah’?”

This man courageously spoke the truth even while living among corrupt people. He reminded them that if Musa was lying, he would bear the consequences himself — but if he was truthful, then Pharaoh’s people were in danger for rejecting him.
