In the end a day at the office kind of win for Inter without much drama.
The biggest positive is the calm & systematic reaction to going a goal down when grinding Bologna down.
The biggest negative: again the defence. All over the place: individually & structurally lost.
Is MAROTTA to blame for Inter’s struggles in the Champions League? 🤔
Chivu is still LEARNING ON THE JOB, but was he the right choice for the Nerazzurri? 🔵⚫️
4th consecutive loss in the Champions League for Chivu.
His Inter have now lost 7(!) of their last 8 matches in the Champions League, only win vs Borussia Dortmund in last league phase match last season.
This season Inter have conceded 14 goals in 8 games all comps.
The BIGGEST WINNERS from the International break are Italy. 🇮🇹🔥

The story behind City & PSG FFP violation is CRAZIER than you think — Infantino had secret meetings with both club bosses WHILE UEFA was investigating them 👀🚨
Inter LEAK GOALS, in the Serie A, their chance creation + goalscoring can bail them out — in the Champions League, this defence don’t have the luxury 🔵⚫️
Another outstanding Inter comeback in another great 2nd half showing after yet another awful 1st half gifting 2 goals, this time after collectively going asleep in defence twice.
Conventional wisdom suggests this isn’t sustainable in the long run, especially in Champions League.
On the same day that the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan’s San Siro district turns 100 years old, the stadium known as La Scala Del Calcio loses one of the biggest stars to ever grace its stage.
Rest in eternal glory Sandro Mazzola.
🖤💙
One of the proudest days in my career as a journalist was publishing this interview with Sandro Mazzola.
As a footballer he was one of the best Italy has produced & one of the most gifted players to wear the Nerazzurri shirt.
But much more than that, he was an Inter fan to the absolute core of his very existence.
In fact, it’s impossible to say where one began & the other ended.
He EMBODIED Inter in a figurative as well as a literal sense. There is really no other way of putting it any clearer than stating that Sandro Mazzola IS Inter. And Inter IS Sandro Mazzola.
Italian football has lost one of its absolute brightest shining stars, and Inter has lost one of its biggest supporters to ever live.
Rest in eternal glory.
And thank you.
For everything.
🖤💙
Including today, under Chivu, Inter have gone down by 2 goals 10 times with following results in all comps:
- Won 5: Pisa, Como twice, Napoli + Udinese
- Drew 1: Bologna
- Lost 4: Napoli, Arsenal, Bodø/Glimt & Real Madrid.
7/10 times in 2025/2026, 3 times already this season.
