L'Union européenne doit faire l'effort du dernier kilomètre, notamment en protection civile. 🇪🇺🔥

✅ Copernicus cartographie un incendie ou une inondation en quelques heures : il a été activé 81 fois rien qu'en 2025.

✅ Galileo aide à localiser les signaux de détresse et contribue à sauver plus de 2 000 vies par an dans le monde.

✅ Et demain, la constellation IRIS² permettra à nos secours de communiquer même quand tous les réseaux au sol sont à terre.

La semaine dernière, à Strasbourg, au Parlement européen, nous avons réuni l'Intergroupe Résilience et protection civile conjointement à l'Intergroupe Ciel et Espace. Nous y avons reçu Space Y, une association européenne du secteur spatial, dont le travail consiste précisément à faire en sorte que les investissements spatiaux de l'UE produisent des bénéfices concrets pour les autorités publiques et les acteurs européens.

Les outils existent, ils sont financés, ils sont opérationnels. Mais ils ne sont pas encore systématiquement entre les mains de ceux qui en ont besoin. L'adoption reste inégale d'un pays à l'autre.

Notre combat est là : Rendre accessible ces innovations sur le terrain. Parce qu'un moyen qu'on n'engage pas, c'est un moyen perdu.

Such Exercises clearly demonstrate how essential cooperation, training and knowledge-sharing are to better protect our citizens in times of crisis.

Protection civile européenne : face aux crises climatiques et géopolitiques, l’anticipation doit devenir la règle.

Mes priorités aujourd’hui :
➡️ Souveraineté : réduire notre dépendance industrielle extra-UE pour les capacités rescEU
➡️ Volontariat : protéger l’engagement des sapeurs-pompiers et bénévoles, fragilisé par la directive temps de travail
➡️ Santé : garantir la continuité des soins en cas de crise
➡️ Cyber : renforcer la protection des hôpitaux face aux cyberattaques
L’#Europe doit se donner les moyens de protéger concrètement ses citoyens.
