Last week, @usedgov held virtual stakeholder meetings to hear feedback on its regulatory agenda. Higher Ed Dive highlights some major themes during those meetings 👇https://t.co/mTnsGgg432 via @HigherEdDive
#ICYMI: @usedgov has further delayed the start date of their third-party servicer guidance released in February. Instead of taking effect Sept. 1, it will now take effect 6 months after the policy is published. https://t.co/sICbQsPRES
The ED also issued updated guidance on third-party servicers that attempts to expand the category to include many online education services. IEC commented, expressing that the expansion would have disruptive impacts on international education & requested rescinding the proposal.
ED is reviewing exceptions to incentive compensation prohibitions for college recruiters. IEC engaged in stakeholder listening sessions & submitted comments voicing concerns that these efforts will build inequitable, unnecessary barriers to Americans pursuing an education abroad.
Last month, IEC approved two new members to its Board of Directors! Please join us in welcoming Evelyne Nickel of ESSEC Business School in France and Aidan Prinsloo of University College Dublin in Ireland 👋
