@RonksleyPavia @MarissaKer Deaf education aides are a catch-22. On one side, using unqualified hearing aides as interpreters is harmful and unethical. The silver lining is aides are an excellent opportunity to get more deaf people in the classroom to work with deaf children.

@HeidiGASL @DeafEdGSU Absolutely. Research with representation is essential. We need to preface policy and research analyses with this critical question: Whose interests and values do the authors represent and serve?

@GisselleLegere @AGBellAssociation is a special interest group that bases its monetary business model upon deaf people speaking, not signing. Many deaf people share their traumatic stories of #forcedoralism, but I have yet to meet a deaf person who regrets that they learned sign language.
