People like @jamesmurray_ldn seem to be surprised that despite more spending they aren't seeing more "efficiency" in recent years.
Yet they can't seem to put 2+2 together and realise that replacing doctors with people who are less qualified for the role are more inefficient.

PAs are dependent practitioners. They should not be seeing patients independently. They should not be first assist in surgery or performing LPs.

Doctors have been raising the issue of PAs for years.
It's not a coincidence that the Leng review, and the subsequent rolling back of PA courses has happened over the past few years.
Asking the Government nicely has got us nowhere in the past.
