$22,573/year on lunch sounds ridiculous. It IS ridiculous lol.
But some days I'm buying an hour back. Other days I'm just too lazy to pack food.
Where's the line between buying time & making excuses?
My Provo 10-unit deal looked BEAUTIFUL in the spreadsheet.
The spreadsheet forgot to mention meth, a flood & a buyer who couldn't qualify 😂
There's still a path to a good outcome. But the spreadsheet doesn't get to call this a win yet.
“Should I buy or lease the car?”
High earners... I've heard both sides.
No debt on liabilities vs. further tax advantage on leases.
Where do you stand?
I've tracked my golf handicap for 5 years.
Turns out buying stuff FOR golf is way easier than actually getting better at golf. Very rude discovery.
Golf people... what ACTUALLY dropped your handicap?
I stopped buying condos as rentals.
Doesn't mean YOU shouldn't. But please don't fall in love with the unit & forget the HOA fees, rules and what it'll be like to sell later.
A pretty kitchen doesn't pay an assessment.
Utah homies... what restaurant are you defending like you OWN the place?
Not the trendy one you went to once for a photo. The one you keep going back to.
I'm hungry & willing to be influenced.
Hit a business goal I've been chasing for months.
My brain: “Cool. What's next?”
Dude... can we enjoy a W for like 10 minutes?? I'm trying to get better at this. Anyone else move the goalpost the SECOND they get there?
Utah investors... you get ONE rental & have to keep it 10 years.
Provo, Lehi or Ogden?
I'm not letting you say “depends” without telling me what it depends ON 😂
For my $250k+ earners looking at real estate for tax savings...
Before we get all excited about what the CPA says, would you still want this property WITHOUT the tax benefit?
If the answer is no, let's slow down a sec.
Bought a nicer golf bag because my Costco one looked rough next to the homies'.
Also paid $99/month for FSD because another friend pushed me on it. Getting fitted for clubs? Don't get me started.
Keeping up with the Joneses has GREAT marketing. What's your most embarrassing example?
I spent $3,600/month on social media.
Yep. THREE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED.
I can talk myself into it as “building a brand”... but if it doesn't create real conversations, did I buy marketing or a VERY expensive hobby?
“Just rent out the basement!”
Love the idea... AFTER we check if you can actually do that legally. Zoning, access, parking, conversion cost.
“I saw a neighbor do it” is not due diligence lol.
“How many doors do you own?”
Lol... getting sick of this question @ my fellow bro conventions
120 units that barely cash flow isn't automatically better than 4 that do. Or 1,200 units that you own 4% of. Unit count is a dumb flex.
Brother... WHAT?! In 2025 we paid $1,182/month for health insurance. Me, my wife & our little girl. Renewal came in at $1,390. Self-employed homies... is this just what we're all paying now??
Bought a 10 unit portfolio in Provo, UT for $1.461M. Potential exits: about $2.042M.
Sounds like a W, right? Getting there... but...
Meth mitigation, a flood, a buyer who couldn't qualify & $51,750 in rehab so far. Not counting anything until the money actually lands.
IFYKYK
those people that just post the most negative posts over & over
complaining about this, these people are so dumb because this… blah blah blah
do you think this attracts people to want to work with you?
or is this just your rant soundboard because your household is done listening to it?
like brethren, you’re killing the vibes & I can just scroll past you 😂😂
What it's like running your own business...
"Dang will I ever get another pay check"
few months later after doing the same boring inputs
"Yo, should we buy a mansion"
----
I switched all of my marketing to helping high earners as their Realtor. Primary residences, tax strategy, deal finding, etc.
It was scary for the first few months, but now that I'm working with the people I'm most aligned with, I feel like that mansion is getting closer 😆
LinkedIn has become my favorite platform because it has a strong sense of community, reach is great, and likeminded individuals.
I’ve heard that can be found on X, but I have no idea how.
Tips?
Why rates aren’t moving…
According to top mortgage company owner…
1. War in Iran
2. Foreigners are buying less US mortgage backed securities
Do we see any of this changing in 2026?
