Jonas Schmid from @Akenza_IoT and Fabio Rosa from @tagoio both have over a decade of experience in building and delivering IoT platforms to various customers who see real value in not having to reinvent the wheel (among other things).

IoT Platforms not only are alive and kicking, but they are simplifying the most complex aspects of IoT and addressing actual customer's needs, allowing them to focus on their core business and value add. But it's not a one-size-fits all.

Batteries have long been the Achilles' heel of IoT solutions. When a battery dies, it often drags the entire solution down with it. The need to replace batteries across a large fleet of devices can be a real business case killer, especially when replacements become necessary earlier than planned.
