.@alliantenergy is making Iowa and Wisconsin a little brighter and greener one tree at a time. Through its One Million Trees initiative, Alliant has pledged to plant 1 million trees by 2030 — and is well on its way, with January marking over 600,000 trees planted.
Alliant continues to work toward this goal by offering landscaping trees at a discounted cost, replacing trees after timber harvests and storms, and partnering with Trees Forever to support tree-planting projects in communities throughout Iowa and Wisconsin.
With summer planting projects getting underway, remember to call 811 before you dig to ensure gas or electric lines are not hit. This includes digging for new fences, mailboxes and trees.
.@ENERGY shared a national study on electricity prices. Iowa showed up on the right side of each chart.
As electricity demand grew across the country, states that grew the most generally saw prices dip, like Iowa. (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory/Brattle Group, April '26.)
Congrats to the class of 2026! Power a bright future by exploring internships and careers in your community.

Why does energy infrastructure matter? A resilient grid allows communities to:
🔋 Withstand severe weather
🔋 Attract and retain businesses
🔋 Support economic development
Happy Earth Day! Iowa continues to be a national leader in renewable energy production. Investments in wind, solar and energy storage support reliability while advancing sustainability goals. We’re proud to partner with organizations that help lead the future of sustainability.
Today is National Lineman Appreciation Day. To those who maintain and repair our electric grid in all conditions — thank you. Your hard work and around-the-clock efforts, often in hazardous conditions, make you the unsung heroes of energy delivery. #ThankALineman
April is National Volunteer Month. Our member utility providers are committed to serving the communities where they live and work. From employee volunteer hours to charitable initiatives, their impact extends far beyond energy service.
Regional transmission organizations, such as the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, help keep the power system steady by coordinating energy across states and ensuring there’s enough to meet demand. Working together makes the grid stronger.
