As we look to hold Russia accountable for invading Ukraine, let’s recall that US post 9/11 wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen & Pakistan caused at least 4.5 million deaths and displaced 38 to 60 million people, with 7.6 million children starving. https://t.co/9f4ax7Gewc
‘How many crimes has your country committed in Iraq? How many crimes have everyone else who is so vocal today committed in Iraq and Afghanistan? Have you arrested them?’

The US remains confused as to why 49 out of 54 countries did not listen to its demands to not attend the Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg, yet fails to understand this opinion is shared widely across the African continent
20 years after the crime, war criminals like Bush and Blair are free, delicately humanised, solemnly listened to, and even revered, while Julian Assange, who published information about their crimes, is cursed, spied on, imprisoned, and ignored.

“The war was illegal. When planes went in, we knew innocent ppl would be killed over lies. We can’t change what happened but we can remember with pride the role we played to try to stop it. We continue to campaign for a more peaceful world”

On the 20th anniversary of the Bush/Cheney war in Iraq, some facts:
War Deaths: 1.4-1.6 million.
Displaced: 9.2 million.
Injured: Many millions.
Numbers can be numbing, but hopefully these numbers can awaken us to the scale of the catastrophe of our war.
Pls share widely.
