@VirginiaLady16 @1goodtern to be charitable, this is a very common content format nowadays, where the person posting presents whatever information they are providing as if it is something brand new or they had never heard of, whether that is really the case or not
@burnyourbones I knew the unions were generally pretty toothless before covid but I still thought that in a crisis they would defend workers, seems mad to say that now
About a week ago, the Labour government ordered the biggest single-day deportation of migrants in British history.
Labour will not say where they sent them.
Buried lede, this is a weird way to report that Teslas function as surveillance devices whose stored video footage can be retrieved by police without a warrant
@flying_rodent it took a very particular kind of person to look at a cultural movement coated with the union jack everywhere and think 'this is progressive'
@Selkies_ yt's chef john recommends standing it on its arse on top of an overturned bowl (which is stood inside a bigger bowl ideally) and cutting down vertically.
@flying_rodent I obviously expected austerity from Labour because I have eyes and ears but I hate to admit the level of prewarning is very foreboding - I guess they could be hoping that whatever they do will seem 'ok' if they make it sound like they managed to hold off calling in the IMF?
@jodieturner_ns @1goodtern even before covid there was a general anti-antibiotic attitude among some doctors in the UK unless they felt the patient 'really needed it' - no doubt fed in part by stories of antibiotic resistance, but also good old fashioned eugenics
