@BersSte26104@OnianiTamara Is a UK camera shot/footage used to harass people who take part in a peaceful protest?
As in one goes, holds a message, says a few words asking for justice and then is invited to pay a big fine or stay 60 days in confinement for this, based on a screen from a street camera?
This is about how face recognition cameras are used against demonstrators in Tbilisi
In Tbilisi, face recognition cameras are being weaponized against demonstrators. First, they banned face masks—stripping protesters of their anonymity. Then, mass surveillance cameras were deployed across public spaces.
Now, those same cameras—with advanced facial recognition—are used directly against protesters in cases involving administrative offences. Often, the only evidence presented is footage from these cameras, ignoring context and due process.
This progression mirrors authoritarian tactics seen in repressive regimes, undermining essential rights like privacy, free expression, and data protection.
Day 71 continuous, large-scale, nationwide.
Either the regime finishes with the Georgian state, or we finish with them.

By 5:00 PM today:
• Kristine Botkoveli’s home was raided.
• Ilia Ghlonti’s house was raided, and he was arrested.
• Isako Devdizi’s home was raided, and he was arrested.
Additionally, the list of strategic facilities was updated today to include highways - blockading a highway now constitutes a criminal offense. Meanwhile, the land cable of TV Pirveli was cut, making live broadcasts impossible.
Temur Katamadze has been held in custody for 16 days.
Mzia Amaghlobeli has been detained for 21 days, and today—after reviewing her medical documents with her lawyers—we learned that she is apparently not receiving all the necessary treatments.
🇬🇪Breaking: Mikheil Kavelashvili, the illegitimate president, has pardoned 613 (!) prisoners in less than a month of his term. Pardoning prisoners is a lengthy process, as each case is thoroughly reviewed by a special commission. It is simply not possible for Kavelashvili or his commission to have reviewed the cases of 613 prisoners. There is a legitimate concern that Georgian Dream has released criminals to use them as titushky against opponents. We saw this play out in 2012 through mass amnesty.
Disobedience march to dictatorial laws begins. People wear outlawed face masks. The event was inspired by tireless Zugdidi acitivst Mariam Sitchinava and gained further urgency as six were detained today over masks. Detention vans are nearby. #terrorinGeorgia#GeorgiaProtests 🎆
Many at the anti-mask laws disobedience march wear Bidzina Ivanishvili's face as a mask. Until now, the police has not intervened, although they detained six over masks earlier today. They sing the vulgar anti-regime chant. 🎆 #GeorgiaProtests#terrorinGeorgia

#Tbilisi Now: Participants in a warning strike in Tbilisi are walking on crosswalks to avoid fines for blocking the road, which is punishable with hefty fines under Georgia’s new repressive laws introduced by the Georgian Dream.
