In the drylands of #Niger, farming families face immense challenges as climate shocks and food insecurity impact their daily lives. With the support of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) @mbrinitiatives through @unitlifeorg, alongside co-financing from @Irish_Aid, GOAL is delivering solutions to communities who need them most.

Together, we are rehabilitating land, introducing climate-smart and nutrient-rich crops, and improving storage to reduce losses and protect harvests.

With the support of MBRGI, GOAL is helping communities strengthen their resilience, improve nutrition, and create lasting opportunities for a better future.

The regional training of trainers organized by @WHOAFRO, with support from @Irish_Aid, on the clinical management of severe acute malnutrition (#SAM) continues in Lomé with intensive clinical sessions at Sylvanus Olympio University Hospital.

Participants are strengthening their practical skills in triage, comprehensive clinical assessment, identification and classification of #SAM, as well as clinical decision-making for the inpatient management of children with complications related to severe acute malnutrition.

Participants from Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, Madagascar 🇲🇬, Niger 🇳🇪, the DRC 🇨🇩, Chad 🇹🇩, and Togo 🇹🇬are working together to strengthen national health systems and build capacity for clinical mentorship back home.
