@BBCMorningLive I used ADR when KLM changed our flights to Krakow and we asked for the refund as was our right.
It took about NINE MONTHS to get the money back, and for a reason I can't recall, we were THIRTY POUNDS short. When I raised that with the ADR, I was told the decision was final.
@itvMLshow I have a 'black box' fitted to my car by my insurer, and I have consistently scored 82/100 over the year. Is that a guarantee of lower insurance when it's due next month?
@emmerdale A few episodes ago you used shaky camera. Now it's moving camera! In, out, in, out, pan, slide behind obstacles... stop it, stop it, STOP IT!!!
This ONLY reminds us there are cameras. It distracts from the story and drama. It killed The Bill. IT WILL KILL AGAIN!๐ก
@DebateHazel@Daddy__c0o1 What I find strange is that I've read and listened to a fair number of anti-capitalists e.g. Chomsky, Monbiot, Piketty... and they've never mentioned this.
@DebateHazel@Daddy__c0o1 When you analyse their language, they were deceptive and obfuscating, yes, but never told a lie. Anyway, your claim is labelling EVERY politician and economist as liars too, is it not?
@DebateHazel@Daddy__c0o1 2/... but never tell an outright lie. That changed with the likes of Johnson and Trump, completely.
And the idea of 'we are taught lies' that nobody seems to challenge implies conspiracy on a Flat Earth level. But I'll give the video a look... later ๐๐ป (the world won't end yet)๐
@DebateHazel@Daddy__c0o1 You see, that's a trigger for me... "We are taught lies!"
Yes, politicians lie to us, but trust me, that's something new. I did my linguistics degree in the 90s. We analysed political language: they would not answer directly, change the subject, only answer specifics...
@PhysInHistory Among many reasons, one that stands out to me is the Bible. When I show fundamentalists that taking Genesis 1 literally (believing in Six Day Creation), the model described is FE. The Sun isn't created until the FOURTH day!
So a few go so far as to take that absolutely literally.
@DebateHazel@Daddy__c0o1 As I said, I recognise my own triggers so I need to scale back my reaction to new information and give it a fair hearing. I'll do that in my own time. Thanks for introducing me to it.
"BREAKING: Donald Trump says he'd 'absolutely' consider taking the U.S. out of NATO.
This reckless move would destabilize global security and empower authoritarian regimes.
RT if you think this would be insane.
@UpdatingOnRome You do know the difference between the name of a region and a nation? The Romans called it Spania... like Britannia, but Great Britain want established until the Stuarts united the thrones of Scotland and England. ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ
@BrianWasabe@UpdatingOnRome And it also says that Joshua's Triumph was heard throughout the land! But I think it was one of the old two-stroke motorbikes.
@DebateHazel@Daddy__c0o1 I'm a free thinker with self-awareness of my confirmation biases and (most) triggers, so I weigh up all things critically.
And a disciple of Chomsky. In both politics and linguistics (Master's).
