@davidasinclair Looks like Canada has wisely opened its arm (and funding schemes) for you to join its scientific community right now, whereas Australia has not matched that wisdom.
ZERO cases of cervical cancer diagnosed in women under age 25 in Australia 🇦🇺
None . Nada . Zip.
For the first time since records began!
How did this happen?
One word
VACCINES!!!!!
Labor, the Coalition and One Nation all just voted against an amendment I put up to call on the Government to get a fair deal on the sale and export of Australian gas by instituting a 25 per cent tax on LNG export revenue, which is estimated to generate $17 billion a year.
They're running a protection racket for the gas industry rather than standing up for Aussies.
*Senators Lambie, Payman and Thorpe were unable to attend the vote for personal reasons.
Every week the federal government delays a 25% gas export tax costs the Australian public around $350 million in revenue.
That's $350 million a week that could have gone to funding essential services!

Australia Institute research shows that every week the federal government delays implementing a 25% gas export tax costs the Australian public around $350 million in revenue.
That's $577 per Second!
"Australians are sick of the delay."

Every day the government delays a 25% gas export tax costs the budget $49.8 million!
"Aussie manufacturers can't get a fair deal on their gas contracts, but the gas companies can pour millions into campaigns defending their right to war profits."

The FBT exemption has helped more than 100 000 Australians afford EVs. In a global energy crisis, we need to use all levers to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, including extending EV subsidies and cutting back on the diesel fuel tax credit scheme.

Dear Prime Minister: We Can Still Be Norway - Norway: $16,300 per citizen from oil and gas. Australia: $50. Beer drinkers pay more tax than our entire offshore gas industry. Treasury confirmed it in Senate estimates.
The minerals under our soil, the gas in our waters - these are not the property of BHP, Woodside or Japan-owned INPEX. They are ours. They are the commons.
And right now they are being extracted for next to nothing while ordinary Australians pay the price in energy bills, rent and HECS debt.
That $90 billion gap is free universities. Universal childcare. Dental care in Medicare. Renewable energy that cuts our power bills. Public housing.
This is not fantasy. This is what Norway bought with the money we are giving away.
The majority of Labor, Greens, One Nation and independent voters all support a proper gas tax. This is not a fringe idea. It is what Australians actually want.
The Senate numbers are there. The May budget is the moment.
