Hoy Kobe Bryant cumpliría 48 años 😢🙏
Se extraña a uno de los mejores jugadores de la historia del basquet y ganador de cinco anillos de la NBA, entre otros logros. #MambaForever#NBAxTNTSports
Today, Kobe Bryant would have been celebrating his 48th birthday. 💜💛🎂
5× NBA champion 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
2× NBA Finals MVP 🏅🏅
2008 NBA MVP 👑
18× NBA All-Star ⭐
2× Olympic gold medallist 🥇🥇
33,643 career points 🏀
But Kobe’s legacy was always bigger than the numbers. He made a generation believe that greatness was built in the hours nobody saw. 💭💪
That failure wasn’t something to fear. 🖤
That you could miss, fall, hurt, lose, and still come back demanding more from yourself. 🐍
More than six years after we lost Kobe, Gianna, and seven others, there are still moments when it doesn’t feel real. 💔🕊️
The fadeaway. 🏀
The footwork. 👟
The stare. 👀
The No. 8. 💜
The No. 24. 💛
The final 60-point goodbye. 🥹
The years keep moving forward, but some people never really leave the game. 🏀🕊️
Happy 48th birthday, Kobe. 🎂💜💛
Forever remembered. 🕊️ Forever Mamba. 🐍♾️

Kobe Bryant was born on August 23, 1978, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and from an early age basketball was already becoming a major part of his life. His father, Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, was a professional basketball player, and Kobe spent part of his childhood in Italy while his father played there. That experience exposed him to a different culture and helped shape the young player who would eventually return to the United States and become one of the most recognizable names in basketball.
Kobe entered the NBA straight from Lower Merion High School in 1996 and quickly became one of the league’s most exciting young players. He spent his entire 20-year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers, winning five championships, earning 18 All-Star selections, and becoming an 11-time member of the All-NBA First Team. He also scored 81 points against the Toronto Raptors in 2006, the second-highest single-game total in NBA history, and finished his career with 33,643 points.
But Kobe’s legacy was never only about statistics. His relentless approach to practice, competition and preparation became known around the world as the “Mamba Mentality.” After basketball, he expanded his work into storytelling, filmmaking, business and youth sports, winning an Academy Award in 2018 for his animated short film Dear Basketball. His influence reached far beyond the court, particularly among young athletes who saw in his career an example of discipline, ambition and constant pursuit of improvement.
Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020, alongside his daughter Gianna and seven others. He was only 41. On what would have been his 48th birthday, these photographs offer a reminder of the extraordinary journey from a smiling child with a basketball dream to a global sporting icon whose influence continues to be felt years after his final game. His story is also a reminder that greatness is not created in one moment. It is built over years of work, setbacks, discipline and an unwillingness to stop learning.
Kobe Bryant remains one of basketball’s most unforgettable legends. His relentless work ethic, competitive spirit, and iconic career with the Los Angeles Lakers inspired millions around the world.
From his No. 8 years to his No. 24 era, five NBA championships, and countless unforgettable moments, Kobe built a legacy that goes far beyond basketball. His impact continues through the game, his family, and the generations of athletes he inspired.
Forever remembered. Forever missed. 🕊️💔
