New lows reached every week. As poor as the Iron have been at home this season. Far too many passengers. Things have to change drastically on and off the pitch soon, otherwise there won’t be a club for too much longer. It’s time to panic.

Beyond poor. There seems to be a real lack of character and leadership amongst this group. Would be surprised to see Hill go before Monday, given the quick turnaround. Even at this early stage of the season, that game has quickly become a must-win for him, though.

@harryfinnigan You could be right. If it is, then there’s a huge role for the wing-backs, they’ve got to get forward and create opportunities. Imagine they’ll be wary of leaving the centre-backs exposed, though.
Difficult to predict what the formation could be. Maybe Rowe has just shifted to left-back. There’s also potential for it to be three at the back, or for Rowe to move into defensive midfield, allowing more freedom for Butterfield to get forward.

@capsnbovril@horner05@SUFCOfficial I wouldn’t mind it. But that’s true, it could be another long afternoon if we’re not careful. Only reason I think it might not be a back three is the fact it’s probably the ideal formation to play O’Malley in.
@smashedagain@thumpermaxie Nuttall has been superb. He’s holding everything up but there isn’t enough around him. A centre-back is definitely necessary - Taft’s confidence appears to have been shot for a long time.
There are other positions the Iron need to strengthen, but depth is required across the board, so any additions are welcome.
At 6’4”, he should add presence in both boxes.
Another forward-thinking player and a defender will likely be the priority now.

✍️ Scunthorpe United is delighted to have completed the loan signing of highly-rated Middlesbrough midfielder Isaac Fletcher until January.

@smashedagain@thumpermaxie It definitely wasn’t a priority position by any means. His record at youth level for Boro is good, so maybe he’ll perform better in this league - we shall see. An experienced keeper (if possible), a centre-half and a forward with pace to play off Nuttall would be good now.
@smashedagain@thumpermaxie I don’t disagree - I said the very same thing the other day, and that’s why I started my tweet earlier with “there are other positions the Iron need to strengthen”. I haven’t commented on how good/bad Fletcher is, merely just that new signings are needed across the board.
@thumpermaxie Hackney had a couple of decent games - you could see there was a player in there. Very few players - if any - performed well enough of last season.

@aus71n Can’t say I know too much about him. Hartlepool fans didn’t seem too impressed, but we’ll have to see. Looks like Hackney is ahead of Fletcher at Boro - he’s been on the bench for them a couple of times this season.
Looking for a @bromleyfc fan/reporter to do a Q&A ahead of Saturday’s game.
Please share and get in touch if you can help with this.
