Ok, this is HUGE. Ursula von der Leyen and the EU have invited Canada to become the first “associate member of the EU”. This is her State of the European Union address.
Listen to the unanimous standing ovation that PM Mark Carney and this notion got!
BREAKING: In a major win for voters, the Supreme Court rejected the Trump administration’s attempt to reinstate its mail voting restrictions ahead of November’s pivotal midterm elections.

BREAKING: POLITICAL EARTHQUAKE! Prime Minister Mark Carney announces that Canada is in talks to join a "unique alliance" with the European Union — cutting Trump off at the knees.
The world is shifting beneath our feet for good...
"What we are looking — and will begin discussions for — is a unique alliance between Canada and the European Union," Carney said. "We share the same values, we have the same priorities and we have very complementary strengths."
He added that Canada is not looking to become a "member" of the EU, but the roadmap he's laying out could be the best of both worlds. A possible "associate member" status would deepen trade ties between Canada and a roughly $21 trillion single market. At the same time, the unique status of this new relationship would allow Canada to maintain its national identity in a meaningful way.
Carney is traveling to France and the United Kingdom this week, will deliver an address to the European Parliament, and will attend the State of the European Union address by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Strasbourg.
According to the Globe and Mail, it was actually the EU who suggested this special associate membership, a new, specially created status, the details of which are still being ironed out. It would represent an unprecedented move by the EU, which has been rigid when it comes to admitting non-European nations.
This astonishing development comes as Trump continues to escalate his trade war and deranged rhetoric against the United States' northern neighbor, shredding our closest alliance. The White House has shown that we cannot be trusted to remain a stable partner because we are only ever one bad election away from empowering a demented, criminal lunatic.
Under discussion is an arrangement that would allow Canadian goods, services, and workers in crucial strategic sectors like energy, AI, and defense to move freely between their home country and the EU, essentially moving borders of the EU to encompass Canada.
On top of that, Canada and the EU are discussing joint projects like laying underwater cables, the construction of data centers, cloud storage, and other key technological endeavors. As if that weren't enough, they may end up building out new systems for delivering Canadian energy straight to the EU.
Carney, who through his bold, unprecedented leadership has staked a claim to being the leader of the free world, has spoken regularly with EU leaders like French President Emmanuel Macron, and the relationships are quickly deepening.
This was unthinkable just a few short years ago, but thanks to Trump the world is reordering itself — and leaving America in the dust.
So much for Canada becoming the 51st state.
Please ❤️ and share if you wish Mark Carney was our President!
@realDonaldTrump#USA 's most disrespectful Commander in Chief #PedoPresident disembarks Marine One without a salute... thankfully he will have passed away by Christmas due to multiple illnesses making the world a better place once again ! #stemcells have limits - just sayin'👍
🚨 BREAKING: Trump steps off Marine One after raging against Canada, looking CHAOTIC and FRIED. He seems to snap at the pilot, forgets the traditional salute to the marines right in front of him, fumbles his jacket, and walks like a zombie.
Something is terribly off. Damn.
#SlavaUkraïni and thank you #Germany 👍
@realDonaldTrump you should be doing this ... oh wait you wasted all your Patriot missiles on the Iran war you lost 🙄
🇺🇸🇺🇸🧐🤔“AND YOU STILL DARE TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH…”
Sasha Legerman: This is too accurate not to share.
This Australian’s response to Trump’s rant that “NATO does nothing for America” is absolutely devastating:
“Mate. You run a country where 600,000 homeless people will sleep on the streets tonight.
A country where 40% of adults can’t cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money.
A country where insulin costs more than a car payment, and people ration it just to stay alive.
A country where medical debt is the number one cause of bankruptcy.
A country where women die in hospital parking lots because doctors are too afraid of abortion laws to treat miscarriages.
You imprison more of your own citizens than any country on Earth.
More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea.
In the land of the free, 2 million people sit in cages, and a quarter of them haven’t even been convicted of anything.
They’re simply too poor to afford bail.
Your life expectancy is declining. You’re the only developed nation where that’s happening.
Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba’s.
Your children practice active shooter drills between math and English classes while you sell defense stocks to your friends.
Your minimum wage hasn’t changed in 15 years.
Your teachers work two jobs, your veterans sleep under bridges, and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that never attacked you.
And now a convicted criminal — found liable for sexual abuse, defending a pedophile, sleeping with a porn star, and running the biggest dumpster-fire campaign since the Taliban — is thanking you for yet another disaster.
And you call Greenland badly governed?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world.
Nobody there goes bankrupt because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because insurance refused treatment.
‘NATO wasn’t there when we needed them.’
When exactly was that, champ?
September 11?
Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU.
Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU.
Australia wasn’t even in NATO, and we still showed up. For twenty years.
And then you left at 2 a.m. without telling anyone and left everybody else to clean up the mess.
You don’t care that a great nation is being terrorized by your friend, and you haven’t shown it a single ounce of sympathy.
So maybe before calling other countries badly governed, take a look at your own backyard, you aluminum siding salesman with a spray tan.
The only thing badly managed in this picture is your damn mouth.
And you still dare to lecture the rest of the world?”
