Went 3-2 at BoBC 7, really wanted to make an upset somewhere but the players that I lost to were clearly better. At least I spent about a week in Vancouver, it really is a beautiful city. Bumping into the Alberta homies was also great haha
Placed 3rd at the Salt Flats Ult Arcadian! I really focused on prioritizing my own stock and not forcing interactions. Also didn't get discouraged when my opponents won games and could identify mistakes to avoid in the next one. Overall very happy with my gameplay and mindset π
Oh and @HEROBradley1 placed 2nd in Ult Doubles, very good but I think this is the third time we've entered grands on the winners side and lost in a game 9 or 10 scenario haha
@TheOnlyGBeast@drpepperfan114 I started with Yellow too! However I reset it in high school to play the game again, wish I hadn't done that. I'm pretty sure the first Pokemon I got to Lvl 100 was a Pidgeot
@drpepperfan114 Clearly something about cool fire creatures as a kid, can never have enough fire! My Silver and Crystal batteries have died, but some gems remain saved in PS2
@ZainJelani21 Definitely Elden Ring, I've heard nothing but good things about it. Also need to play non-Nintendo games I missed out on like Mass Effect at some point
Old news now but I had a great time at GOML! Placed my seed, tied for 193rd. Maybe could have done better but I reached my goal of playing a set against Kurama, really cool experience. Ult ladder, money matches, and the Melee crowd were also highlights for sure
@playboikhxoz I agree, but that's exactly the problem. They're both less than L, and they also didn't have as much time for development. So having them as the "heroes" at the end made it feel pretty hollow to me. Again I don't hate Near, I just found him disappointing
@playboikhxoz Near on his own is alright, my problem though is that they tried way too hard to make him equal to L. The core of Death Note was the build up of tension between Light and L, then all of a sudden they just throw Near and Mello in as the secret successors
