This YouTuber, Benn Jordan discovered that a surveillance company named Flock Safety who currently has over 90K camera deployed throughout the US, is severely compromised. He found that many cameras are live-streaming directly to the open internet.
Raising the minimum wage sounds compassionate. It polls well. It makes for a good press release.
But when government forces labor costs up, businesses don’t magically absorb it. They raise prices, cut hours, automate, or eliminate entry-level jobs.
Higher wages + higher prices = same squeeze, fewer opportunities.
If the goal is to lower the cost of living, increasing the cost of doing business is backward policy.
You can’t legislate prosperity by mandate.
