Last week the Education Authority’s Nurture Advisory & Support Service hosted the ‘Stronger Together’ Regional Cluster with the 62 Department of Education funded Nurture Groups focusing on relationships, support, and interventions.

Education Minister @paulgivan was greeted by Principal, Catherine McHugh and the Student Leadership Team during his visit to @StPatsCollege, Dungannon. The Minister was showcased fantastic digital collaborations created by the students and was updated by the Principal on the school recently receiving two awards. The Gold Cyber Award, one of only three awarded in Northern Ireland, and the National Nurturing Schools Award.
Education Minister @paulgivan has officially opened a new Nurture Unit called The Sunshine Room during his visit to @stbrigidstweet, Ballymena. The Sunshine Room was the name that the children who attend the unit selected for their new classroom.

Education Minister @paulgivan visited Hart Memorial Primary School, Portadown where he was welcomed by the Principal Andrew Frizzell, members of staff, representatives from the EA and the Vice-chairman of the BoG’s Rev William Adair. He opened the newly refurbished Nurture Room where he heard from teacher Heather Handy on how the space was used to help support the needs of children with particular social, behavioural, emotional and wellbeing needs.
EA EOTAS service welcomed @nichildcom to 3 centres in Belfast. Beechcroft Education Centre, Newstart EOTAS and Willow EOTAS. These centres provide specialist support for children and young people with additional needs related to their social, behavioural & emotional wellbeing.
Education Minister @paulgivan visited @NettlefieldPs to officially open their new Nurture Unit this morning. The Minister met the Principal Simon McLean, Board of Governors, Nurture teacher Heather Clifford and political representatives.
The Minister also toured the school, meeting pupils and staff. There was a discussion about school accommodation.

This provision is a key element in supporting our children to have the best start in life and improve their educational outcomes.
