🚨Statewide Emergency Alert Tests🚨
On Thursday, April 2, between 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM, Texas will conduct a statewide test of emergency alert systems at the request of the Texas Division of Emergency Management.
You may receive an alert on your phone and/or hear outdoor warning sirens. Because multiple agencies are participating, you could receive more than one alert.
👉 This is only a test. No action is required.
These tests help ensure alerts work when they are needed most.
They make it look effortless. What you don’t see are the early mornings, the relentless training, and the drills that push limits. Members must complete continuous skills testing throughout their tenure to ensure they remain physically capable of meeting the demands of the job.
Everyone is a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day… but even a leprechaun knows not to test his luck after a few green drinks.
Our officers will be out conducting No Refusal DWI Enforcement to keep the roads safe for everyone celebrating. If you choose to drive impaired, you’ll see a jail cell, not a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. 🌈
So celebrate smart:
✅ Use a rideshare
✅ Call a sober friend
✅ Plan ahead
Have fun, be safe, and don’t push your luck. 🍀
