@TronCarterNLU Between the coverage, kelce/kevin hart, and now nerfing the course. We the people need someone to hold their feet to the fire. Please TC, you’re our only hope
@TheRealPJClark A certain other golfer (who is very much on everyone’s mind despite not being here this week) also started his first masters win with a front-9 40
@NoLayingUp Soly hating on the Rangers makes me feel even better about our club, welcome to the team @BigRandyNLU. @DJPie leaning into the hate to start was all time.
Soly after playing in his 2nd AT&T: “yea @djpie, I know you’ve walked it a million times without ever once getting to play the course, but you’re really not missing much”
CONCERNING: Is @NoLayingUp ageist?
Between dying his hair to hide the gray, and now the aggressive denial of his new found bird watching hobby to avoid adding “25 years” to his age. The middle-aged father of 3 continues to distance himself from his (not so) elder peers.
Calling it crazy to base career narratives about a random three day stretch like we don’t do the same thing in theory with random four day stretches at the Majors…
Maybe they aren’t random stretches when everyone agrees they are the 5 most important golf events
Fair take here. Do still think it's crazy to build these narratives off a random three days in a crazy random format every two years, but the evidence that "they just care more" was about as glaring as it has ever been this week.
Would it be nice to see the U.S. actually find a way to replicate that? Sure. But I wouldn't hold your breath. It's obvious as a whole American players care far more about individual accolades like major championships, hence why Americans have won 26 out of the last 35 of them.
Not even trying to troll with that stat, by the way. Imploring everyone to just accept that's where the American priorities lie and trying to force them to change that fact for three days every two Falls is silly. And yes, they like getting paid for their work, too (so do Rahm and Rory, btw)
@ethan1570 The point I’m making is that the fact they were truly only 1 dumb rule and 1 putt away from having it on Burns’ club on 18 proves the quality of the team and the lack of quality in leadership
If Henley makes either of the putts on 17/18 and the envelope rule isn’t dumb and Burns is playing 18 just needing to tie to win the Ryder cup.
Just further proves how bad of a captain Keegan was (not all his fault). This US team was not set up for success during team play
