The Journey of the Christian Life: Is Christ Your Life?
Brother Paul was privileged to travel to Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, last week for the Shepherd's Conference. The following Sunday morning, Brother Paul delivered a message to the church entitled "Is It Well With Your Soul?" This clip is taken from that message, as Brother Paul urges listeners to consider the paradox of the true Christian: as believers grow in Christ, they experience an increase in both their brokenness over sin and their joy in Christ.
"As we grow in Christ as believers, we begin to see, we have nothing... Christ is everything. Is Christ a part of your life, or is He your life?"
Secular student: "How can one man suffering for a few short hours on a cross save a countless multitude of men?
Paul Washer: "Because that one man is worth more than everything put together! You take everything and put it on a scale and Christ outweighs them all!"
📖Isaiah 61:1🕊
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.
An idol is anything more important to you than God. Anything that absorbs your heart and imagination more than God. Anything that is so central and essential to your life, that should lose it your life would feel hardly worth living. Therefore, one can make anything into an idol.
Every other religion teaches some form of works righteousness where people must do something to climb up to God or reach salvation. They are man centered. Humans try to reach God, earn merit, or achieve spiritual status, where in Christianity, it’s God centered. God sovereignly chooses, calls, redeems, and secures His people. Salvation is God’s work from beginning to end, not man’s.
Every other religion leaves people unsure. “Have I done enough? Did I pray enough? Will I make it?” Christianity gives certainty because it’s built on Christ and His finished work on the behalf of His people. We can honestly say there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Every other religion makes divine acceptance conditional.. you must first meet requirements before you are loved or blessed, but Christianity says God loved us while we were still sinners. The Father freely gives His Son to redeem us before we do a single thing to earn it.
Chadd Wright shares with Joe Rogan a fantastic and vivid example of sanctification and what life looks like in Christ.
This is incredible testimony, and easily the best thing ever to appear on the podcast.

This is incredible. 🚨 Chadd Wright spent more than an hour on the Joe Rogan podcast sharing Jesus, the gospel, sin, death, depravity, the scriptures, BETTER than any preacher we've ever heard in a similar setting.
No Christian crumbs here, this is a full meal.
