@CassidyyDandyy@jse_CSUB@csubted Hello, Cassidy. I agree that Google Sites is a great tool for use in education. I think it would make for an interesting first-week project for teachers to get to know their students on the first day.
@guer9913@jse_CSUB@csubted@aobannon_CSUB Hello, Astrid. I think learning to use Google Sites was interesting too. I think it could be a cool little project for some teachers to use to get to know their students in the first week of school as well.
@jse_CSUB@csubted A4: The most rewarding TechQuest for me this summer is Quest 9: Creating a YouTube Playlist. This quest has helped me learn to save videos to specific playlists. I can use this skill as a teacher to save videos I can use for lessons. @csubted@aobannon_CSUB#csubEDTE4200
@guer9913@jse_CSUB@csubted@aobannon_CSUB Hello, Astrid. I also chose Google Slides for my answer on this prompt. It works well with the 4 domains of academic language, as it requires students to read and write during the creation of the slides, and speak/listen during their presentation to the class.
@CassidyyDandyy@jse_CSUB@csubted Hello, Cassidy. I agree that Google Slides will allow students to work together. I think it gives students a good opportunity to work on all 4 areas of academic language, both as a group and while presenting to their classmates.
@jse_CSUB@csubted A3: A classroom tool I could see student using for group activities is Google Slides because it requires students to use their reading and writing skills to create presentations about any given topic. @csubted@aobannon_CSUB#csubEDTE4200
@guer9913@jse_CSUB@csubted@BiscottiNicole@aobannon_CSUB Hello, Astrid. I like that you chose a teacher whose focus is giving tips on educating children with disabilities. Being someone who has worked with people with disabilities, I know the importance of being patient and caring with them.
@CassidyyDandyy@jse_CSUB@csubted@HansTullmann Hello, Cassidy. I think it's really interesting that Mr. Tullmann has spent so much time in the classroom while also integrating technology in his lessons. Also, is he really local to Bakersfield? If so, that's really nice to see!
@jse_CSUB@csubted A2: An educator I have followed on social media is Grace Dearborn. She has co-authored books on classroom management and I use her techniques in class with my students during the school year. My classes have been better managed as a result. @csubted@aobannon_CSUB#csubEDTE4200
@eneudorf_csub @jse_CSUB@csubted Hello, Emma. I also like using Google Sites for our portfolios because of how customizable they are. I also like how easy the program is to use, and I think it would be great to use for assignments in high school.
@CassidyyDandyy@jse_CSUB@csubted Hey, Cassidy. I haven't seen or used Screencastify, but seeing as I learn visually as well, I think I would enjoy it. I personally liked learning about how Discord could be used educationally because so many of my current students use it outside of class.
@IsabelM_CSUB @jse_CSUB@csubted Hello, Isabel. I think it's wonderful that you want to work with younger students. I want to teach at the high school level, and you're a braver soul than I for wanting to work with kids that young. I'm sure you'll do great, though!
@jse_CSUB@csubted A1: So far, my favorite education technology resource covered this summer is Discord because it's used pretty widely by students. Because of this, students shouldn't have trouble transitioning to this platform for use in class. @csubted@jse_CSUB#csubEDTE4200
@jse_CSUB@csubted Introductions: Hello, my name is Isaac, and I hope to teach at the high school level. I currently work for the Kern High School District as an Instructional Assistant assisting teachers in classroom instruction and management.@csubted@jse_CSUB#csubEDTE4200
