Dogmatic reasoning is not a departure from the biblical text but a deeper examination into the reality to which the text authoritatively points. The exegete who has done faithful grammatical-historical work is already engaged in a theological task; the dogmatician who articulates the Bible’s teaching on the Trinity, Christology, the atonement, etc., is engaged in an exegetical task. The two modes of reasoning are therefore best understood as complementary phases of a single, Spirit-illumined intellectual pilgrimage through Scripture toward the knowledge of our triune God.

@ConfessingKite In addition, if a man has an MDiv and a BA, meaning he has approx 8-10 years of education under his belt, I think his earnings should reflect that.
@JeffreyPWiesner@MikedAlamo I think the key point is that modern evangelicalism has not yielded a deeper understanding of historical orthodoxy. Confessionalism solves the problems of anti-intellectualism, anti-catholicity, and ahistorical biblicism.
One of the ironies among American Christians today is the expectation that pastors address _____, while at the same time eliminating the midweek meetings, Sunday School, and evening services where _____ could be meaningfully addressed.

Parents: Do you ever get the feeling that your child's teacher is "managing" you when you voice your concerns about political content in the school?
That's because you are being managed.
Here we have a "response guide" for teachers when parents complain about "curriculum/books/learning," "visuals, symbols, displays," "student affinity [segregated] groups," "policies."
Teachers are told to "ground" their responses, meaning to deflect any concerns you might have, "no debate."
They are not interested in anything you have to say. Teachers are told to repeat their canned deflections up to three times before pawning you off to the principal. The idea here is to get you to waste time going up to the endless bureaucratic chain until you lose interest and go away.
