@FairweatherPhD what are the actual blockers here? low state capacity to discern land value? transitional gains trap? real estate regulatory capture? low information voters?
@signulll the steelman here is that the gradient is so nonlinear, that you can reduce the slope and still get strong incentives for individuals, who compete in relative as well as absolute terms.
@Liv_Boeree@Noahpinion never evolved *yet
not saying we shouldnโt remediate but these shocks are exactly how natural selection happens. punctuated equilibria
@ryangrim seems like another adverse selection effect where the majority of talent who could devise and implement this policy at scale are themselves in industry, leaving these problems for culture warriors to hack at
@somewheresy@camouflybeats doesnโt suno push this ratio up another 100x? musicians care about listeners / attention even if they have to work cafe jobs to survive - now thereโs a firehose of slop pumping into the internet and weโre supposed to just shrug?
@somewheresy is the theory about an incendiary vocal minority of idiots deranging the conversation in general, or that their idiocy itself radicalizes the rest of the population?
@hecubian_devil i think youโre misinterpreting what twin studies and gwas actually measure - which are not really comparable in this way, and no expert would tell you they are. if your claim was true there would be a total revolution in the field but there simply hasnโt been
