• Two weeks later, they will ask for your place of work, and you will comment.

• Three weeks later, they will ask you to name the closest supermarket to your residential area, and you will respond.

Some of you are not security-conscious at all. You freely give out sensitive information to strangers because you do not understand social engineering. If you like, don’t use your head.

Kenyan software developers are elite on the timeline, always ready to correct someone’s spacing in HTML or flex about clean code they saw on GitHub, but when they’re given actual projects to deliver, real ones with deadlines, clients, and expectations, suddenly it's excuses, ghosting, unfinished work, or apps that never move past the login page. They’ll spend two hours on Twitter arguing about indentation or framework superiority, yet can’t even set up a proper landing page when someone hires them. And honestly, if we ever decide to open the floor to people who have been completely messed up, scammed, or left stranded by Kenyan devs, that conversation will need its own day, own space, and maybe even its own trauma hotline.
