"It was amazing to be running alongside a diverse but like minded group of people, with none of the issues that can come from running on the roads."
@Isabel_M_Mohan shares how parkrun built back in her confidence when running, at @MetroUK 👇 https://t.co/FEUQz4Ube6
Just remembered there's a social network over here that you can post stuff on for nobody to see!
Here's my London Marathon, mile by mile. On balance I think I'm better at writing about it than I was at running it.

@DavidLloydUK My membership (including kids) was going up to almost £400 a month which is obviously obscene but apparently in the realms of what is allowed. It doesn't help that I have a conversation with a different person every time - shoddy customer service for a supposedly premium brand!
So bored of trying to cancel my @DavidLloydUK membership. Our mortgage going up by £700 a month (!) doesn't count as a big enough change in financial circs - it has to DOUBLE! Is this even legal?
Now @DavidLloydUK have asked for a letter from a freelance client on headed paper confirming change in contract as an email won't do?! Not easy to ask for stuff like this when self-employed! JUST SET ME FREEEEE IT'S STRESSFUL!
"For me, going to events like parkrun also hammers home that ‘proper runners’ come in all shapes, sizes and speeds."
Absolutely brilliant from @Isabel_M_Mohan - and I totally agree that, for many people, focusing on a 30-minute 5k goal could be counter-productive.

Great article by @Isabel_M_Mohan in the @Independent today.https://t.co/MX4ewnjodY
"The truth is, nobody is born obese, but small differences in lifestyle, upbringing and mental health can easily turn that bouncing baby into an overweight adult"
"Yes, those patronising words “just eat less and move more!” are technically true – but unfortunately that advice is incredibly hard to implement in the face of so much shame"

I am completely rubbish at remembering to plug my newsletter on here, but I want to celebrate/brag about hitting 500 followers this week - and then rapidly 550 thanks to some hugely appreciated love from @NotRollergirl!

Great read from @Isabel_M_Mohan. I didn’t work on Heat until much, much later - but I spent the noughties building endless galleries of celebrity sweat patches and cankles elsewhere. And wonder how much has gone into my subconscious self-esteem.

Pride + nostalgia + shame = what it was like to work on heat magazine as a shy overweight 20-something during the height of celeb body-shaming culture. A meaty little (long) read from me... https://t.co/eQdOi7HGgu
