@RichardWinterb@DavidXnot4@RobShaw_BC@bcgeu@bcndp A strike, like any battle js a sacrifice. You don't fight to recover, but to pave a brighter future for others, especially the next generation. Things will be greater later because of this moment.
@bcgeu It's crazy because they are losing their base... They are not going to win over Conservative voters by treating their base like crap. This will not end well. Whoever is giving them advice must secretly be working for the opposition.
@bcgeu Every 1% equates to an extra $15-$30 per pay period (depending on salary). Requiring job action for an extra $20 dollars bi-weekly is so disappointing, especially from a party who would have lost if not for union members going out and voting. Union members are taxpayers, too.
So glad Air Canada flight attendants will have their unpaid work paid in the tentative agreement. Anyone now care to focus on the unpaid work of teachers? I think most people would be pretty shocked at the amount of unpaid work & how the classroom resources paid for by teachers.
CUPE president Mark Hancock says union will not obey back to work order. I asked him if he’s prepared to go to jail over Air Canada flight attendants’ strike.
“So be it” he said.
@RobShaw_BC Eby gave them a raise right after the election last October. They were off until mid-February. They worked for 4 weeks, then took off again for 2 weeks at spring break. Why in the world should they have another raise?
@KCCOVancity@barbarapots@RealAlbanianPat That's what happens when you steal someone's swag instead of having your own. He was Trump (now people hate Trump), then glammed up to beat Trudeau....now Trudeau is gone. The funny thing is he used to work with Carney under Harper... This guy has no identity.
@acnewsitics If you read the posts of supporters, you'll notice they've dehumanized government employees. These are regular folks just trying to pay their bills.... not everyone is in on some grand conspiracy. The ones they should be worried about are elected, not hired.
In the face of Trump's tariffs, Trudeau is looking very strong right now, meanwhile Poilievre comes across as a complete lightweight. Here in BC, Eby is making Rustad look like a kindergartner.
Absolutely. Like all the elected @Conservative_BC MLA’s. They would have folded right away to Trump. Similar with Poilievre. I certainly hope this ends the “Canada is broken” rhetoric of the right. #cdnpolitics
